    has anyone replaced there cam chain tensioner with an after market one have tryed the tricks – undoing it till it clicks and doing it back up etc pulled it out freed it up etc .it still rattles .this is my second one first one replaced under warranty.just ordered one from cafe racer in batherst hope it works has anyone else tryed one of hiss

    I know of two other guys that had 530’s and got the cafe racer tensioner and it solved there problem. Hopefully it will sort yours :)

    thanks thats good moto should have herd it rattle to day riding with son on jr80 did not relise it was that bad normaly don t ride that slow luky it did not jump a tooth .got caught in a storm young fela must have fell of in 4 big puddles should have seen him

    Sounds like you boys had some fun anyway! It’s bad that KTM don’t sort the issue for you for a bike that can only be just over a year old. If it still rattled after the original was replaced they should do something about it as they is a technical bulletin out for the problem.

    Trouble is the dealers are greasy little toads.

    PS – Where do you live? It’s beautiful and sunny here in Nelson Bay, I’ve been mowing the lawn :(

    i live in dubbo no rain here but there was just out of town where we were riding got back to car and it stoped but young fellow had enough spose he is only 9 i was just warming up love the mud. don t get me started on ktm dealers

    cafe racer tensioner fitted nicely stoped the rattles makes you wonder why the factory can not get something so simple right. bike seems a bit more responsive of the bottem also

    That’s goo news that it’s sorted with the added bonus of some bottom end too. Your right though, shame KTM can’t address the issue.

    the cam chain tensioner made the bike start a lot better the decompreser works a lot better .found that you can stall it under brakes in 2nd gear let your foot of the brake and it roll starts just like a 125 two stroke.bike allso seems to be in a better state of tune

    I heard good things about them from others. I maye look into it in due course as a mod for my bike :)
