I am thinking about heading up to Fossil’s place at Kundabung early Saturday morning for a blast.Anyone keen to tag along would be welcome.Fossil says he has a 120km loop to do,so you will need that sort of fuel range or be prepared to carry a litre or two.
Fossil will be leading the ride and can elaborate on the ride/trails etc.

I was heading that way myself this weekend but my riding partner’s bike has died. Turns out his orange bike is a lemon after all:P :P

Love to tag along but not sure I can get that sort of Klms out of my tank. Might see what I can organise.

Fossil reckons he can cut the loop back to 90kms if need be.Which would probably suit me better as I want to get home early and get bikes sorted out for the MX the following day.

Trails are fairly easy going wide single track, twin and a little bit of main trail (but as little as possible). There is nothing really technical. Expect creek crossings logs, rocks, logs, rocks, logs. If you have a collapsible saw bring it, there might be logs!! I have a little bit of fuel stashed out there but only enough for two or three bikes. If you come and dont enjoy the trails I will give your money back and give you a free mebership to Old Bulls

90 klms should be fine. I haven’t had this bike for very long and not sure about its range. I did 80 odd Klms on Sunday and still had a bit left so I reckon it’ll be OK. Count me in! Just let me know a time and place and I’ll be there.

8.30 is good for me. 147 Upper Smiths Creek Rd (12km past the Telepoint Bridge). It is NOT Smiths Creek Rd (that is the one near the Kundabung Motel). Those that do not know rural numbering 147 means it is 1470 meters down Upper Smiths Creek Rd. Takes 30 min from Port, 35 min from Wauchope and about 20 min from Kempsey. An early start is good in case we have any probs.

Maybe we should stick to the smaller loop approx 90km as the bigger loop could involve some serious track clearing and once we commit to it there is not many options in regards to alternate routes (recent rains and winds have brought down alot of trees. I do not want to fry everyone if they have commitments on Sunday including me , I have to work Sunday.

Coming from Kempsey is Upper Smith’s Creek road on the right hand side of the highway and after the Smith Creek Rd motel turn off??

Yep sure is. Wharf road is on the left and almost forms a X intersection. Just after the RTA inspection station.
