Well first of all I have to say that after my head on crash with a 4WD Hilux today that everything is all right ;)

I did come off second best but it was a close competition  :pinch:

The only thing that *issed me off was that I had brand new plastics and sticker kit on :pinch:

The young adventurers were trying to get up a gnarly hill in their 4bie but couldn’t quite crack it so they backed up to let us past. Trouble was they filled the rut with rocks and when I hit the rocks they shifted and steered me straight into the bullbar of the 4bie and scratched my new sticker kit

With new sticker kit scratched, pride dented and 3 Old Bulls and a crowd of bystanders laughing I untangled my bike and rode off :(

Anyway apart from the embarrassment of that incident it was a top day out :woohoo:

A tad dusty in places but otherwise a perfect day ;)

Ollie, Justo, Sam and I did all the singles to the quarry with none of us getting up marble hill cleanly  It’s just one of those hills, some days you get it and some days you don’t :pinch:

In our defence it was dry and no grip

Ollie has decided to rename Justo 180 as on two occasions Ollie and I came across Justo separated from bike with the bike pointing in the direction we’d just come from  funny stuff

I thought I’d mix it up a bit and take the boys on some tracks I hadn’t done in ages and even ended up on tracks I’d never been on

I demonstrated to Ollie on a couple of occasions which lines not to take and how not to tackle them but other that that I had a good day and the bike went without drama :woohoo: I’ll post up the repairs I ended up doing later.

Thanks to the boys for a top day on the bikes and the beers after went down really well (and still are  ) Ah the advantages of riding from home :P

No time for pictures or vids (thankfully  )

    Adam.

What a great day out in the Bush with some good mates. I had a ball today and worked hard to keep up the pace I drank 3 litres of water at about the 3/4 mark. The whole group had a good pace going although I am sure Sam was only just cruising  Adam lead us on some great tracks and most were quite technical with a lot of rocky drop offs and tight single trail. I loved the over tree track which was a fast flowing single with a lot of little switch backs. We had to stop at one section and Adam grabbed my Aldi Bush saw and cleared some over hanging vines,I think it got the tick of approval  on the way back we did a rock step up The other 3 boys nailed it but Adam ran up the side of Justo 180’s leg and unclipped his boot buckles  This rock is about 6 feet high and nearly vertical, lucky for me I had been watching my Shane Watts dirtwise vid the night before and hit it with the front wheel about half way up and back end grabbed traction and threw me about 10 feet clear of the obstacle :woohoo: impressed the shit out of me  We probably came across more fourbies than bikes today and I am still scratching my head on how Adam ended up under the bumper of a 4×4
So this is the fourth ride back since my big off and the confidence is getting back nothing like conquering some gnarly uphills (lets not talk about marble Hill, that was just F#@ked  )

Thanks again Adam Sam and Justo 180 for a great day out, look forward to the next one. Oh and that beer went down a treat mate thanks.
