Lotsa’s mate Johnathon gave me a call late Saturday arvo to see about the ride next weekend. He’s been doing a few rides with Lotsa but now that Lotsa is out for a while needs another option.

Anyway he asked if I was keen for a quick blat in Ourimbah Sunday morning for a couple of hours ;)

Is the Pope a catholic :P

So we met up this morning and out we went, I wanted to find some singles that I hadn’t riden until a mid week ride a week or so ago so we had a plan.

Johnathon led the beginning to some new singles that have only been there a month and then we headed down to some more singles and blow me down we come across Moto and his mate Darren.

We followed them up a gnarly hill that I hadn’t planned on doing then onto the singles I was looking for. Luckily Moto knew where they were.

We had some fun motoring through there then Johnathon and I parted ways with Moto and Darren as we were on a short ride and they were heading for the singles to the quarry.

We blasted through some twin tracks avoiding the dusty main track and headed for some other new singles that take us back home.

I now have a good new loop for next Saturday before we hit the singles to the quarry. :woohoo:

And if I get time during the week there’s one more old single that needs clearing to link up another twin track.

Thanks to Johnathon for the call, and good to catch up with Moto and Darren.

    Adam.

Nice to see you out there mate and to meet Jonathon, he seems like a nice fella. After you left me and Darran back tracked as we saw another good looking hill but it led back onto the Red Hill Rd. We rode ll the singles to quarry, looked for that track we were talking about but couldn’t find it so rode the singles back before playing around on a big log.

With my trials form honed in I tried riding up a 3ft+ vertical (and I mean vertical) rock ledge. I made it up but over mono’d and missed hitting my front wheel at the top. The result was a case out and I ripped my bashplate off.

We got home around 3:30pm hightailing it after my bashie broke. I even went over the bars on the final hill back to home (near Westfiled) when I lazily went over a decent rock drop, couldn’t stop and lost the front end…..500m from home DOH!!!

Bike was cleaned and is now sat back in the garage ready for a new bashie ad the next ride.
