I had 4 riders turn up for the ride on Sunday. Tiny (Husky610), Scotty (DRZ400), Twobanger (Husky WR250) and Sb_250y (WR450). Once we geared up it was off to the first single track. Up the Bicentennial Trail for a few kms and then onto a quick single down to the other main track and then onto the good stuff. This track weaves it way tightly through trees and up onto rocky outcrops where it’s a challenge to find the track again. I had to go around in circles a few times to find the track or I could’ve lead the guys straight off the cliffs. Up and down rocks, in to valleys and then out onto some fast fire trails. We had the first section done in just over an hour.
So it was off to the next track which was more of the same terrain. This track is getting more use and is chopped up a bit now. But we managed to get through it Without any broken bikes or bones . Coming out of this section and onto a nice fast fire trail back to the cars for lunch and a splash of fuel.
Then for the afternoon we headed over to the Spanish Steps and went down through there and sb_250y showed me a single track that I hadn’t been on before. So we headed down this track and it split in two. Sb_250y hadn’t taken the right option before so it was new to everyone. Tiny was close to been stuffed so we took off on this track and came on Sunnyside Ridge road and then onto one of Tinys favorite sets of single tracks back to the cars. We were back at the cars by 3pm, all packed up and a quick beer to celebrate.
Thanks to the guys for coming up for the ride. It was good to meet some more Old Bulls. Sorry there aren’t many photos as we were bunched up all day. I must have the slowest rider, hope I didn’t hold anyone up to much.

Yeah thanks for the ride guys. The morning loop on the west side of the road was a cracker and went through some awesome country, from the top of rocky ridges then down into fern filled gullies all flowing single track, great stuff.

The afternoon run was a good way to finish the day. I had a blast chasing Twobanger though the single tracks.

Look forward to more time up there.

    Mal,
Yeah thanks mate for leading the ride had a ball, hobbling around work, so always a sign of a good ride.

Was good to put some faces to names and meet a few more blokes from the OBT site.

Yeah Scotty was a good sprint back to the cars, could hear that 400 hammering.

Hope all the scrapes are healing there Tiny?

I ended up taking the Bells road had a big oil slick and sand all over the road from a major prang with a detour up the wrong side of the road but missed the sunday arvo parking lot.

    Cheers
