I was going through some footage from the weekend and had a laugh at this. This is some footage of me on the Macksville ride on Saturday

And this is my little boy Jesse Ryder on Sunday

    See anything in common?

Very cute STM. I like the little bike with no pedals would be a good stepping stone onto a bigger bike later. Must be something about blokes and “small blokes” liking riding through water. My young bloke would do that all day if I let him. Only this afternoon I had to hunt him out of the puddles on his Redline as it was spraying right up his back!. How do your bikes cope with all the water, salt etc? My bike still has evidence of the Coffs ride and I washed it as soon as I got home!

I use plenty of tyre shine after I wash it and use a wet lube on the chain. Super Cheap Auto have their generic tyre shine for about $2.50 a can so it is cheap insurance.
Trying to get my little mate out of the puddles is impossible so I just let him at it :woohoo:

It’s a great clip mate for sure no mucking around straight to the job at hand ;)

Pretty soon he will have a bunch of kids over and lead them thru two sweet puddles one in the morning and one after nap time with milk and sliced apple near the beach afterwards just like Dad

Great clip Scott I like how he got a run up on his second run through the water.

Looks like you got a riding partner in years to come.

    Cheers

Hey Scotty.. how old is your boy? Where do I get one of those bikes.. that looks to be the ducks guts to help them learn solid balance eh? My boy is already 10 months and I can’t wait until I can put him on 2 wheels..

There are many models of Balance Bikes available so speak to you local bicycle retailer. Kids are ready from about 18mths onwards. I got Jesse on his at 20 mths and before his second birthday he was riding feet up down small hills. The one I got him is built by Specialized and has a hydro formed alloy frame, sealed bearing headset and spoked wheels.
