Sounds like a trademark dodge. No doubt GoPro have protected their gear and this is a very clever way around it.

No they have no wi-fi on them , not sure about the newer models ??

Just seen this harness mount on their site and it looks like it’s in the up coming waterproof case

Here’s a EGO vs GoPro vid on YouTube , I’d like to see it done once the EGO is in it’s weatherproof box to get an idea of how the audio is effected .

Interesting, the EGO looks noticably brighter and represents colours better. As you say it will be interesting to see how it goes with the waterproof casing fitted.

I don’t plan on using the waterproof casing anyway so it seems like it was money well spend for me…..happy days!

Yes Nick this is the right one as per TB post, i have it on both my i phone 4s and Android Tab and it works well for both.

The ego quality looks much clearer. I would have thought the gopro would have been better with the price difference. I wonder if its the case but either way no case no camera with the gopro. Is the lense cover replaceable on the ego?

Thanks Nick for posting that. Not being picky cause I really don’t care I love my gopro cause it fills all the boxes for me, but I understand those boxes are different for others I know that. I have gopros for me and an EGO for Lochie and its interesting to watch, but is it comparing apples and apples? Is the EGO capable of 1080? If so both at their best in 1080 would be the test wouldn’t it? Shouldn’t the test be both out of their covers, then both in? I only ask because this morning someone quoted dust standard numbers to me saying the EGO is the same as the gopro out of its cover.

It is probably a fair comparison TB as they are both in their “working” setup as in GP is in its case and mount and the EGO is on its mount. Although i see what ur saying by the 1080 comparison. So are the lenses covers replaceable on the ego?

If you look carefully that is not the new GoPro Hero2. The comparison was done with the old model before they went to the glass optics.

Does the glass lense make that much difference at 720 when its still shooting through a plastic outer case Scott? Really :blink: Maybe direct onto a LCD TV :blink: but broken down to 720 on youtube

Looking at the comparison on youtube it seems to make a difference. Stm should have a great idea as he has owned both!!
