I can also give you a track to reduce the bitumen in the Bylong section now I think about it.TB

November 7, 2013 at 8:53 am #251503Thanx mate
Will wait and see what the masses want to do- Not really fussed about an “adventure” getting to Lithgow – more interested in the following 2 days.
Is it possible to get thru Growee road/ track though ?? – i have been to as far as I could get till the “farm houses” blocked everything.
I would be keen to see what you have up your sleeve though

November 7, 2013 at 10:52 am #251504Secret wicked twin track :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
TB if you find yourself with the time over the weekend I would love to see what you come up with.
Seems I have a lot of catching up to do on the ADV bikes with all the tracks you blokes have done. Feel like a noob when you start swapping route notes like that
November 13, 2013 at 8:46 am #251526I have my own Secret track thru from Wollar to Rylstone , only me and one other know about it ……. just got to get my shit together and sort it into the Base camp soft ware from Magellan software . Either that or ring JL and have him talk me through it again from the Wollar end , I’ve only done it from the Sth going Nth the day we ” Discovered ” it .
I have it on a map somewhere about too , just can’t recall where I put the laminated map print out .
It is some public access farm tracks and Crown Land fire trails , then dirt rds through to the Mudgee rd then dirt back rds through to Rylstone . A fair bit of sand in one section through a pine forest too IIRC .
I’ll get onto it , chasing it up now .November 13, 2013 at 9:09 am #251714Oldfatbeerman wrote:I have my own Secret track thru from Wollar to Rylstone , only me and one other know about it ……. just got to get my shit together and sort it into the Base camp soft ware from Magellan software . November 13, 2013 at 10:09 am #251717Hi Al
I am just happy to get to lithgow for the nav ride the easy way if need be, check with Squiggle & crew if they want to take the “scenic” route – maybe we could plan another ride out west another time if need be for al the “secret” stuff
Have you still got the front tank you mentioned previously.

Yep , still got the safari tank .
I am thinking that the easy route would likely be best , just so we are reasonably fresh and keen for the following day .
Might be best to just do the usual , Watto’s , St Albans etc . to Bilpin , then slab it into Lithgow along Bell line . At least we know where we are going and there should be no getting lost on that route  .
November 14, 2013 at 7:14 am #251744My thoughts exactly – like TB said Saturday & Sunday will pretty well keep us happy. Bloody hell I’ve even bought a tent “Oh the indignity  “
Pm sent regarding the tank

November 21, 2013 at 6:34 am #251404Alright Peoples , It’s a week away , we need some firmish plan . What say ye about a meet at Jerries Servo / Cafe at Kulnura at 9.30 am for a 10.00 am departure for St Albans – Webbs Ck etc through to Lithgow , That will give us a 1 pm ish lunch stop at the Apple bar at Bilpin  .
Please Discuss
.
November 21, 2013 at 6:48 am #251954Hi Al
For the Newie punters – how about 8 bells at Edgie Maccas then a ride to Jerries (9.30ish) for any central coasters. From there as it happens – Good feed at Colo Heights servo if that suits otherwise apples for lunch will do
