Well I just got the Gasser all prepped for the next adventure, and so I thought I would ride it down to Gili’s place about 500 metres away to check on the progress of my KXF250 that he is working on. On the way back home I gave the gasser a bit of juice and when I road into my drive I pulled a small wheelstand. Now my drive is a fairly steep drive that is paved and has a bit of a dogleg in it. At this dogleg when I wash my bike the water and truckwash tends to pool in this area and is always a problem area even when walking down it:ohmy:. Anyway the front wheel has come down and instantly I was down on my arse!!:side: The full force was absorbed by my knee and forearm with the resultant skin and friction burn and twisted ankle. Tell ya it has been the biggest off Ive had all year. and of course the only protection I had on was my helmet and work boots. I wont do that again!!:( I had to bundy up last night to get to sleep!!

Chris I wil tell you what it is…..what lots think is I am only going there or here, its only close, I wont fall, I am just going to go steady, I know the terrain, Blah, Blah, Blah. Been there done that and it usually takes a stupid one like this and Moto and Mick , and myself that I choose not to share as it highlights what a wally you are, when on the bike you must accept you are going to come off and that means all of the gear needs to be put on, the other way around it is to get a small enough bike that you cant f@ck up with it, one of those pushies with a motoor is good idea
All simple really, but do we do it….NO WAY, and therin lies the problem:) :) :)

Hope you feel Better Wollie….I mean Ollie:laugh:

Yeh thanks Dave. Ive been living here for 15 years and have done the same thing hundreds of times No problems.

i think it is important to learn from your mistakes. I also think it is important to be able to have a laugh at yourself and share your experiences. Makes for an interesting forum:laugh: which is different from the other ones

Damn Ollie I thought you would know better. It wasn’t so long ago we all saw what a quick blat with no gear on can do when we saw what Puddles mate did on his WR
They say that most accidents occur with 1km of home>you didn’t even need to leave your driveway.
Was it the local Doctor that suggested the medicinal use of Bundy as an anaesthetic
Hope it wont keep you of the Gasser too long.

I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before someone blames your tyres ;)
