Hey guys I have legged it to broken hill. Sitting in a motel now. Good birthday
Present for the old man today to have to rescue his son hahaha. It was
A mission you had to be on it. I left in freezing cold and rain by the time
I was at bourke it was high 30s . Heaps of water out there with quite
A few deviations ,iin places you just had to take the water on and be
On the gas. I was a bit rattled last night so no getting on the cans for me.
Patched the bike up with tape and ties it was a beast to ride at first
but after about 40km it just seemed normal having one cafe style bar
and the other an ape hanger.
Spot started working again today??? Only 2 off us made it out there

Mate, you are a living legend! Well done champ! I hope to ride to the corner one day and do it in similar style. (Less the roo of course!)

Great Job and we are all glad that you are ok! ;)

Mighty  Go and glue the back of your bike together, check the fuel pump and injector, make sure the sub frame hasn’t snapped off and get permission to go riding

    Mighty :P You idiot

Ian did well also eh, great effort they reckon he peddled hard all day.

BB I got the picture you sent me today (Eags got it up from ADVrider before I got home ;) ) I was at Adventure Moto when it came through, we all had a look there were so impressed people that you got it there after that. Would love some pictures of the bike, Steve was interested how it stood up as he has started a long term test with a 630 now.

    Hey Badbowie

Well what do you say but hey that was a great effort one up as well you have big balls to go out there solo, great that the roo is not feeling the best after you and him talked at the wrong time.
Great to chat to you on the phone the morning and man think the bike speed limiter is the wide open for you dude.

Yes that would have been some feat for a kato to go 1200 ks without a breakdown.
:woohoo: :silly: Getting home would have doubled the chances of not making it home in one piece. :P

I have to thank Ianbmw from ADV as without him coming along I probably would have pulled the pin and not made it to the corner.

He was chasing me all the way from Bourke but about half an hour behind , he was enjoying seeing some good line choices through the bog holes and corners which I think he followed but when I had made a bad line choice he would try somewhere else.

I got into Tibooburra and the talk of the town was how bad the road was out to camerons and that it was closed and a mess. I was like should I or shouldn’t I rang my dad stood around for about 20 minutes and basically called it, Ian came belting into the servo, I asked what are his plans he was pretty familiar with the road and said it would be sweet, He asked a local about some deviations that had to be made and he was happy to go and off he went at full throttle I sat just out of his dust for the run in.
He is a top bloke we talked bikes and trips and he was doing exactly what I was doing ticking another one off the bucket list. He has already done a Solo simpson east to west and then turned around and came back west to east. Thats a huge effort
