Loved reading your post….thanks…. its nice to see the passion for bikes do strange things to blokes…. but you have a nice balance thinking about your wifey… getting flowers, choc’s and dinner…..now to build some brownie points up so you can get out on that new bike.
Enjoy it…..

December 6, 2011 at 5:42 am #212731Good stuff Wolfie! I can still remember the look on my sons face on Xmas morning when he got his first bike 6 years ago! It is a great feeling. That was a PW80 and now he is on a YZ250f, so get used to the idea of parting with your hard earned once they have the bike bug
!December 6, 2011 at 6:53 am #212697that sounds scarry mickameld at the prices today just think of prices in 6 yrs lol ,happyness is a cheap price to pay though and if it keeps the kids of the streets and out of jail trouble i wont care

That was a PW80…..I can still remember the feeling of getting my first bike and that was over 30 years ago. It was a PW80 too. Been wanting it for ages at the time (well at least 3 years worth of christmas’s and birthdays) and when it arrived it was and still is the best Christmas present I ever received.
Woke up Christmas morning and there was a string line coming out of the santa pillow case at the end of my bed. We (my brother got one too) followed the string as it wound its way through most of the rooms in the house and then downstairs (we lived in an old queenslander at the time) to the bikes parked under the house. Still makes me happy remembering it. I couldn’t tell you what other presents I had under the tree that year or if I even bothered to open them.
Only thing santa got wrong is he didn’t check the oil reservoir on the bikes before delivery and they were only part full and we didn’t have any more 2T oil. Riding had to stop before lunch Christmas day as a result. Christmas must have been a weekend that year as it was a long wait until mum went to town to get some more.
Your kids will love it Wolfie. You only ever get one first bike.
December 6, 2011 at 7:52 pm #212699bundyroy thanks for the idea for xmas morning gives me an idea now but i mite do your idea to the bikes but i will do a treasure hunt till the last idea goes to the string which leads to the bikes
