be patient and consistant hows this…Wisky use to have a collar on with a pouch and went to the shop for me she would tap on the door with her paw , when let in the shop fella would open the pouch and read- milk bread etc. get the money and then place the plastic handle in her mouth and back she would come (pies didnt work any good though), use to use her as a pillow .
She would ALWAYS stop and wait for a nod or shake of the head when someone came to the door if i nodded she would go balistic! not a sound before though:huh: (worked a treat on Jahovas)

AnonymousYoung Sam was picked up by his new parents this arvo and he seemed to be a very happy boy. I have been told that he has already marked his territory in the Moto household:blush: Sorry.
I am glad that Moto and Tyne are his new parents, Sam took a real shine to them (especially Moto).
The D’s will wait a couple of weeks and let Sam get used to his new home before we visit.
Be a good boy Sammy, and don’t pee on the carpet again.:S

AnonymousQuote:free to good home
racytracy has gone to the farm for the weekend. i didn’t want to go.
so i’m looking for a new home for the weekend. i don’t eat much and house trained. however i need regular outings.
i have almost made it. a whole weekend defending for myself. i decided that i would spend the time doing all the things racytracy don’t like to do.
so i forced myself to stay home the whole time. apart from a few jobs around the house and yard. i just spent 2 days and 3 nights in the shed.
i even ignored an invite for a ride and a an invite to a party.
i worked on 5 bikes. the only one i almost finished is racytracy’s ttr.
the rest have a at least an hours work each. but i need parts first.i lived on breakfast cereal, toast, some old corn chips and that sarsparella cordial we bought when we went to morpeth with moto and tigertyne.
I somehow mixed up the tm and nifty fifty pistons
Apparently the one on the left is for the tm

AnonymousYoung Sam is definately a cheery little fella and full of beans! For such a bundle of excitement he was extremely well behaved in the car (1h 15m) and stuck his nose out of the window and ‘surfed’ all the way home. I didn’t know when he last went to the toilet so took him across the road for a walk in the bush. Nothing. He just wanted to play. That’s okay I thought, if he was breaking his neck he would have gone
Anyway, I get back home with big thunder clouds looming and let him loose around the garage and the garden before it started to piss down with rain. Naturally he was checking everything out and seemed very excited. After he had calmed down a little bit I let him loose in the house so he could go explore. He ran everywhere, sniffed everything and still wanted to play ‘lets bite moto’s hand’
After about 30 minutes he was still cruising around sniffing and checking stuff out, I tried to get him to lie down and rest for a bit but he wasn’t having any of it. He thought it was the old bite moto’s hand game again
I said to Tyne to not pay any attention to him for 15 minutes and see if he goes and lies down. I watched him as he went and explored the house some more. He kept coming back to me periodically and I just told him nicely to go lie down. He didn’t like that idea and thought that pissing on the carpet was a much better idea!
We cleaned that up and I played with him some more throwing his rope thing for him to fetch down the side of the house. Time was getting on and me and Tyne were heading off to bed so we said good night to him and put him in the garage with some dog biscuits on his bed. He looked surprised that we were leaving him (and I felt guilty) but I couldn’t trust him in the house on the first night or in the garden as he showed me he can easily jump the wall and get out if he wants too! I need to go get some chicken wire to stop him getting up there, then he can play there all he wants.
We didn’t hear a peep out of him all night, I got up this morning and snuck round the outside of the house to peek through the window into the garage and see how he was doing. He was lying on his blanket and protecting my KTM (bless
). It was however obvious that he didn’t go straight to sleep!
I opened the garage door and he went mad, he was keen to wake up and go for a walk. I had also noticed that he had done a decent size poo in the corner of the garage, had ripped up the sponge I used to clean my bike, ripped a gel pack and ripped through a plastic packet of screws (I hope he didn’t east any)!! I let him have a good run around the garden and saw that he was playing with something….turns out he likes my thongs too:P I had to chase him for a good 5 minutes before he gave it back, turns out that’s a favourite game of his too!
I walked him this morning, he loved the new area and wanted to go explore eveywhere. I only took him out for about 20 mins as he’s going out for a big run tonight. When we got home Tyne had shut the screen door to the garage and not the main door (having seen him walk into it twice before you think we would have learned our lesson). Anyway, Sam was excited to see Tyne again who was standing in the garage, you can probably guess the rest
He ran straight through the screen door into the garage from the garden, it hardly even slowed him down!
I left him with Tyne and headed off for work laughing about the fact he ran straight through a screen door. We are going to flog him to death tonight (not litteraly). He’s going to the beach for a couple of hours and he can run himself silly and play in the water (Fingal Bay) where there aren’t any waves and no carparks to run off in. I think that will tire him out a bit.
All in all though he has made the move (seemingly) without any worries, I’ve been very impressed so far. We’ll see what fun we have tonight, he’s certainly brought some fun into the house!
March 16, 2009 at 12:43 am #126013Good onya Moto, Big ole Labradors are wholehearted good buggers and deserve a good life, he will never ever grow up with you as a role model though :silly:
maybe if you show him how to pee outside on a tree or a post he’ll get the idea, and never ever chase him, it’s a game now, I’ll just get the bosses thong and he chases me…. what a game, Woohoo.Tug of war, with a rope (don’t let him win too much though) a good run everyday and affection and your life will be richer and your KTM (or subsequent yamaha, honda or husaberg) less likely to get on any stolen list.
Good man Sam for adopting Moto and Tyne.

March 16, 2009 at 1:17 am #126014Hey Moto, seeing as you have a big heart and house to match, you don’t want half a dozen Kittens too?
March 16, 2009 at 1:19 am #126015
AnonymousRight you are Bruce. I’ll have to show him how to pee on car tyres at 3am on a Sunday morning
I’m pleased to see that you think I’ll make a good role model  He’ll have to look upto Tyne for that :p

Although, if they are free it might save me a few cans of dog food for a while  With the ‘midnight nibbler’ around the cats might not last too long :p

AnonymousAre you still talking to me Moto?
He will settle down, he is probably just excited having you and Tyne as his new parents.
He is a very happy boy that loves to have people around him.
He obviously likes you and Tyne more than what he did us, as he never went through the screen door to get to us.
It was a bit strange this morning when I went outside for my morning heart starter, no Sam there to show me his collected trinkets. I’ll survive, as your going to be able to offer him a more fulfilling life than we could.
Hope he is not causing you too much grief. It’s only early days.

AnonymousIt’s all good Dan, he’s only a little whipper snapper, I wasn’t expecting anything less. Tyne just called as she just got from Uni and she said his face was totally black. He’s gone through a new bag of coal beads, my air filter cleaner, air filter and spare pair of bike goggles!!
I’m impressed he got to the air filter cleaner and filter, that was in a closed metal box (albeit not locked) I hope he didn’t swollow any of it. There’s another lesson learned though, he can open things with his nose!
It must have been weird for you with him not coming to greet you this morning. Trust me, he’s having fun at my place though!
Maybe he wasn’t protecting my KTM this mornong, maybe he was trying to get close enough to eat it! You haven’t brainwashed him with rubbish about Yamaha’s have you?

AnonymousNever ate any of our Yamahas – maybe they weren’t to his liking.
I probably had an advantage with things not being eaten in the shed due to having two kids that get into everything. My place is pretty much kid proof and lab proof.
Sounds like his having fun.
