Does anyone out there in OBT land have an old, not wanted, taking up space, muffler / slip on exhaust? I don’t care what it is off as anything can be adapted to suit. I want to change the pipe on Kylie’s TTR250 from the choked up ship anchor to something that will let it breathe a bit better. When I had the TTR I had a GYTR pipe on it, but when I bought the WR the GYTR was modified to suit it and the stocker went back onto the TTR. I know that people will probably say stop being a tight arse and just buy another pipe but I’m a tight arse and don’t want to. And anyway the way Kylie changes bikes something that can be made suit is a better proposition.

So if there is anyone out there with such a pipe hanging around in the shed that they no longer want I am happy to relieve you of the burden.

    Thankyou,
    Dan

hey Dan why dont you just modify the existing pipe? basically all you do is drill several small holes closely spaced around the outlet punch it out, then file to suit a larger diameter piece of tube that will slide over the internal baffel.then get one of your mates or a panel shop to weld it up,rejet to suit bobs your uncle. i believe there is some more detailed instructions and photies on TT

    good luck

    Thanks Ollie

That is an option I have seen a similar type thing on the TTR250 forum. I dont know if there would be much of a weight saving with modifying the stocker.
After Sunday’s ride maybe I should be putting a washer over the end of the pipe to restrict it and slow Kylie down:lol:
