I went out for a ride today, try to keep some bike fitness for some up and coming rides,I stoped for a bit of a rest and a snack in a nice spot that I often stop at,sat down on a big hollow log,as I sat down I taped the log and said to my self “I wonder who lives in here”So I’m just finishing of my snack bar and I hear a rustling in the scrub right behind me,just about a couple of feet from my ass,Big black snake on his way into his hollow log,HA!HA!I jumped to my feet, and we held each others gaze for a wile and then he just proceded into his log before I could get a pic of him,,Bloddy big basted he was. I dont think that I will sit on that log in future.HA!HA!
So keep yu eyes open out there chaps.Cheers Teza.

October 1, 2014 at 11:21 am #259719Little tip for when you see a 3 foot red belly laying in the middle of the trail…
Blip the throttle just as you run over it and this will launch him at the bloke behind you. Funny shit watching this happen, works with brown trout as well, hey snowy. :woohoo:

October 1, 2014 at 9:05 pm #259722I was playing with my boys in the park on the weekend and my three year old casually says “look at the snake Daddy”. We have heaps of pythons around but this was a full grown brown sliding straight through the middle of the kids climbing equipment!!
STMOctober 1, 2014 at 10:02 pm #259723Ran over a Red Belly on the bike last weekend while he/she was curled up having a breather. I was on top of it before I knew it. It took off quick as I didn’t see it on the ground or wrapped around the bike. I was going pretty slow at the time as usual.
I am glad it wasn’t a brown snake.October 3, 2014 at 1:41 am #259725My sister shot three black snakes last week. She lives up at Mount Royal. They are always worried about there dogs.

Cheers
MurphOctober 5, 2014 at 10:04 pm #259709Ran over one in my car yesterday on Oberon road. It was not happy when I checked in my mirror to make sure it wasn’t caught up underneath the car. You know, one of those thin, dark coloured 1 metre long ones! (They all look the same :S ).
