    Yes I know I used plenty of the loctite but most of that was squeezed out when the bolts where done up,so it does in fact have only a very thin layer of the blue stuff. I will no doubt be keeping an extra vigilant eye on it for a while. ;) The Devcon should handle the torque as Long as the sprocket doesnt move,the rear of the flanges were not flogged out they where still round,so as long as the nuts stay tight all should be good. Hopefully :unsure:

    Hope that repair hangs in there Ollie. I’ve used devcon in the past to repair engine cases but never tried it on something that will take on a bit of torque.

    As for sprocket bolts I religiously go over mine with a spanner ever time I lube my chain. It is overkill but a good habit I have fallen into (I don’t have many good habits) and I’ve never had a failure.

    Ollie, you are more adventurous than I am.
    I hope you have a case saver on it. Bring the engine down to me stripped or not when you hole the engine covers after derailing the chain, i’ll weld them up so the oil stops falling out.
    “good luck” and find a good used hub before you do enough hours to see if it works.
