Riding from home I arrived at the Ourimbah car park with ten minutes to spare for our 7.30am RTR. Holeshot and Justo were waiting so with a brief chat we were off through Ourimbah Sate Forrest alternating St and main trail.

With my camera suffering from turbo lag , no more action shots for me.
Just before leaving this forrest we bumped into Dave, an OBTR , who had his two girls ripping around the old quarry on a PW50 and the other, the first ride of an XR100. They were riding really well. Future OBTRs for sure.
Fuel and a drink at Yaramalong and up the dirt motard road to nearly the Letter A. Alternating ST and main trail to Lynches Fire Trail and over the hill to Midfield for lunch and a drink where we were assured it was only 32 deg C.

A bit of tar got us up Rope Rd and the north end of the Watagans for the run back. Everywhere we went the less obvious ST was overgrown and I found a great example that had us through lantana, logs across the track and slippery bog holes.

Having a breather

We had to drag the bikes under this one

Even my kato decided to have a rest

With the heat we were shattered so HS lead us to a fresh water spring to cool off.
Ahhhhhhh

The dip restored our energy and we were off towards the Basin. Just after the Basin at the start of a single HS had a spill down a hill and found his clutch lever broken. He fitted the spare and we main trailed back to the cars with a stop for fuel and a drink at Yaramalong.
The storms and high winds were nearly upon us when we arrived back at the cars at 5.30pm. After 250km and 10 hours we said our goodbyes and I rode home via ‘bike’ lovers.
Carlovers. Check out the sky behind and high winds

As soon as I work out why my engine oil is doing the amazing vanishing act I’ll be doing it all again.
Thanks HS and Justo. Great company.

Hey TB
The gearbox took 60ml and the engine took 180ml from when I started the ride. Looks like the scrapper ring problem and there is evidence the previous owner dusted the engine.
I’ll ride tomorrow if there are any takers and get rings in it before the next ride.
Cheers
