Just a quick note to say Hi to the guys, Mal and Capt Furious,

Met them at Louee on the weekend for a bit of a ride. Had a ball.
Nice to put names to faces.

Capt, Hope the jousting went well, hope you didnt flip any horses and land them on their heads, :P

By the end of the we I was clearing 2 of the 4 table tops on the MX track, which was good enough for me. Cant see the point in pushing too hard and wrecking bike or body, on a we away. Plus being in the air for the first time was a bit scary.

Did a few Enduro rides around and through the property, some of which was a bit hairy. ( Double Black Diamond )
Did the Junior Special Test Enduro loop (A4DE at louee), where Cathi had some challenging times

Hi Riggs, nice to meet you and Cathi as well.

Only just got back so haven’t had time to write a ride report.

Had a good day though. Even with my crash over the doubles. :)
    Here is the YZ after:

The moral to the story is hit everything fast. I had no issues clearing the doubles. This crash happened when I was just rolling over the last set at walking pace.

Hoping to organise a trip out to FreeFlight next.

Will do. If I could get it approved I would be keen to head to FreeFlight for the day this coming Saturday or Sunday. :)

Not sure my wife would be keen though :P

Also want my new helmet and neckbrace before I head out again.

Thanks for the report Riggs, good to see some pics of Louee again, they certainly bought back some good memories. Those Black diamond trails are a real hoot aren’t they? Some where on here, there is a funny video of me (not funny at the time) peddling the XR650 up some mongrel big hill, with TB snickering in the back ground.

Nice report Riggs. I can’t see the pics at work but will look when I get home.

It was great to meet you and Cathi and to go for a ride with you guys after lunch.

I had a fun time with Mr Furious chasing him around the tracks and getting heaps of confidence on the jumps. All that riding with only 3 X 30min naps in a 24 hour period.

I laughed so hard when the Capt came back from the large motrcross/small supercross track . We idled around the track twice and I didn’t like it much but the Capt was keen for ONE more lap, so I left him to it. Then he came back to the car with no rear guard  .

    Strucky,

The sticker kit was addded by Aust. Dirt Bike mag for the foto shoot, I think it was a custom job, but Ill let Cathi have the last say on that one.

    Mal,

All we I was haunted by the Capt Furious comment … ” im going for ONE last lap”, cos I did a few “one last lap”‘s … and each time in the back of my mind Im thinking I might come back to the pits without an arse end :P

    ….. or worse.

    Hi Strucky,

As Riggs said, the stickers are a custom job by Kenny Signs ( http://www.kennysigns.com )from the bike’s former life as a project bike for ADB. If you contact them they might remember the job.

    Cheers,

    Cathi

Hope you guys took a trailer load of rocks home with ya’s. Some of those enduro tracks have more rocks on them that I’ve ever seen.

    Chris.

Yeah Chris, they’re really rocky!! And apparently I didn’t see the worst of it. Took us by surprise at first and kept it “challenging” for me.
