Ive been thinking about the route for this ride, its hard to judge grading so i thought id ask (i dont know how to do links)
Would the creek run video, number 3 (without deep bit at the end this time) from the macksville 2011 ride report on page three of reports be considered grade 3?June 5, 2011 at 7:40 pm #202705Hey Ev
The Macksville ride you led that day would be grade 3. It got tricky in spots because it was so wet but generally that would be a 3.STM

June 14, 2011 at 5:23 pm #203284Just so you know Ev there has been about 500mm fall there in the last few days with extreme high winds
June 14, 2011 at 9:23 pm #203300Cheers Corey,There will be heaps of trees down, so if anyone has a fold up saw bring it with you.
June 14, 2011 at 9:24 pm #199672Sorry Ev, I have to pull out. I was so keen and I hear the Pub with no beer has lots of beer. I’ll try for the next one.
CheersJune 14, 2011 at 11:11 pm #203317Ev, unfortunately, you may need to put this ride on at a later date. They are saying the Pacific Highway at Kempsey is going to be closed for 5 days.
The blokes from down south, will have to reconsider their options.
Regards
MickWhat is it with you Bello boys?? Any time any one from up that way, puts on a ride, we get a major flood event???
June 15, 2011 at 12:12 am #203329Good point Mick, hopefully it will be open,I havent riden in 8 weeks so ill be going for sure, forecast is good it dries out well down there and there are heaps of trails
June 15, 2011 at 3:14 am #199673I am hoping that things will ease but maybe the damage has already been done. Just watching the weather channel and it sounds as though the flood waters may hang aroound for a few days – lets see what happens. I am really keen but i think the weather might get me. However a big high is coming so not giving up just yet.

June 16, 2011 at 12:11 am #203369Well after high winds and another 60ml last night well have to postphone this one, drainage will be ok but fallien trees might be a problem and theres no way the highway will be open by then. A few of us will still be riding if anyone is keen ,but it will be more of a recon/repair ride, no pub lunches,pm me.
