6.30 we all meet at our usual spot, we headed for the hills and I was a tad anxious to see if I had actually made the right call of getting rid of a very reliable bike and purchasing a high reving foriegn one.
12 of us unloaded in foggy misty conditions (pefect bike riding weather), I pulled out the choke and hit the buttonon the KTM, (she who must be obeyed has christened it the ranga) and it fired straight to life.
I asked snowdrop to lead this ride as I wanted to be in the pack doing the old look, see trick. all was going well until we hit a single we call wombat and then all of a sudden it started stalling and popping and just generally carrying on like it had a gut full of water or dirty fuel. On inspection it was discovered that some peanut had left the choke on. Pushed it back in and then i was seeing the true protential of such a small bike. The single where unreal, and when I came out the other end onto the main road, I done a power slide around damien and the ranga gipped up and slowly highsided me, I neally had it but no over it went at zero kph.( I will say here I was not the first to go over for the day)
We carried on towards parrachute when I found myself looking at the back wheel of kato 450 that was parked in a black mud puddle, crikey i`n gone i thought , the pilot cracked the throttle, the tyre got 99% grip and the bike performed the best backflip with a pike I have seen, it took bark off a tree some 5 foot up and smashed its front guard when it landed upside down. Trash I rider.
We got to the top of parachute and I gave the ranga its head, talk about awesome handling, braking and suspension, I was having a ball. Some of the crew need feel good pills so they rode back up parachute?????.
We swapped leades due to the leader playing speed hump so Buzz lead us to the berry patch.
As usual great lunch, we fueled up, I only used 3 ltr of fuel, a lot less than the predator use to burn.
We hit the trails heading back to the cars, Snowy and I had discussed completeing the entire ride as we havent been able to do it for quite a while,(wasnt to happen), I was on a corner with Damo and Mick ( Hussy610) and we had been there for a fair while when rick comes through and says he is going to gather the rest because the predator had bucked it new owner big time leaving him with a severe head injury.
When we got back to him he was walking around like moto in coffs.
We sent Demus to get a ute and 2 other riders with him and then we slowly rode old mate out to the main road and loaded him in and he spent the night in the care of our local medical professionals.

The rest of us road straight back to the car.loaded up and went to the pub.

In short, I am stoked with the new bike, I feels stable through the corners, the suspension is second to none, it stops on a bloody dime, and once I got use to it not being a tractor and realise I needed to use the gearbox, the power was awesome for a small bore .

Ohh yeah I forgot, Snowy when you fall off and get caught up in fencing wire please be more considerate and dont land on you wallet, it make it so hard to go through it!!!!!!! i`m there for ya mate?????

    Happy days

Just after TAC tried an unsuccessful roost on Boony.
Step 1 find a mud puddle
    Step 2 line up Boony
    Step 3 Gas the Kato

& the oops the Kato gets traction and takes off like a scalde cat and plants itself into a tree.
The bark off the tree was caused be the launched Kato
