Well its hard to admit but the ktm’s do brake like a dream .. unlike my poor 450x

so ive started upgrading by installing a set of HEL perfomance braided brake lines, am very impressed with the quality of the lines, the delivary time was great and it came with new banjo bolts and copper washers, it improved the braking but no where near ktm standard

so then i set about upgrading my rotors, after looking around i found albaracingteam on ebay who deal artrax brake rotors, after talking to them i struck a deal for a 270mm front rotor ( and adaptor plate ) and a standard size rear rotor ( but looks trick ! )

it took 8 days to get to my door from the US ! very impressive, so i was excited to unwrap my goodies tonight and this is what i was confronted with

i think im in love, they look solid and the plate looks the goods !

saturday night ill start the instal with pics and a full report after a sunday ride ! stay tuned

I use an Artrax 270mm FF with sintered pads on the front of my KTM450. Awesome stuff, great feel and pulls up well

with a 270mm and braided cable you will have found the feel you are looking for.

I have done this already and it does make a huge difference to my 450X. just with the disk upgrade up front the rear on mine is a little spongy but I will replace lines with braided hell lines and that should do the trick.
interested in finding out how yours goes Rookie?

Installing was a breeze and I must say they do the job well, for the price you just cant go wrong.

As for the HEL performance braided brake line the kit I cant complain about, but the line been narrower then the original the line cant be clamped in place, so as you see the electrical tape has done the job … also the fittings are of a different angle to the original and I found them a bit annoying to fit.

All in all but I do advise them as they are a great line and make a world of diffrence

Will continue to update as I ride more
