As always, the Tamworth crew have disgraced themselves with school boy antics
Wish I could have gone

August 29, 2011 at 12:57 pm #207813Great photos Poll
I`ll start my report!
2400 and something Ks and 5 days later were home.
firstly I would like to thank
Aaron
Snow
Buzz
and Polly for putting in the huge effort that it took to travel that far just to ride with a fellow OBT member on his birthday weekend.I was originally going by myself, then these blokes put their hands up and took the challenge.we left Tamvegas on thursday morning and collected polly from gosford around lunch time.
I drove from Tamvegas to gosford and then it was beer oclock, it sucks having a chinese bladder, the trip took heaps longer than it should have.
we were belting down the hume when my phone rang, it was LC, wew were meeting them at cooma, it turns out Bob had broke a clutch cable and he sourced on in goulbourn, so we made a detour and grabbed it for him.we got to cooma late in the arvo only to find the boys in a happy state it was amusing to say the least watching Bob and his pit bitches change that cable.up at sparrows the next day , detour to the rubber food factory and we were officially on our way to victoria to ride with menace on his birthday. Talk about foggy.
We crossed the boarder without drama despite threats of road blocks and internal excaminations to keep us out we then wound our way to heyfield.Aaron and buzz decided to take another wayand have a look at lakes entrance, we have no iea why they done that.
12,30 was arrival time at the trailor park, greetings were made, a beer was had, then the bikes finally came off the trailors. Chop led the friday ride and it was brilliant,a mixture of open throttle acsess roads(how slippery are them marble like rocks) and them some up on your tank tight cornering singles, wow we were in for a great weekend if these are the trails. We got back to the trailor park, showers had and then the shenigans began, following several beers I headed for bed.i needed to be in top condition to ride at the rear of the pack that had been formed for the infamous birthday ride. I had a beautiful peaceful nights sleep without any interuption.
more later.
August 29, 2011 at 3:44 pm #207759My Trip prep started with a trip to Bikes and Bits to pick up the bike as in my Aaron’s Shed post. But as I don’t have a shed really I will have to hire parts of Boonys. Buzz met me at the shop after having done his worst and we loaded her up to go to Boons for a sleep over for the early start the next day. Did you hear that Snow? I said “early” but obviously you did not listen to Boony, which is understandable. :silly: We hooked up and headed off to Mexico and it soon became obvious that the “Wilder-beast” (It has stuck BOB) was not so good at climbing hills.
We got to Pollys and I took the only photo that was not blurry I wonder Why. ????
I love looking at Pollys Place from that angle  :silly:We headed off to Cooma to meet Up with LC4Skin Bob and Nathan. And as Boon and Polly had hinted to they were 3/4 Cut. And Nathan was not far off having a bit of a pizza colored yawn. I do not Know how they managed to replace the Clutch cable in the state they were in but they got there. The Pizza soon arrived just after Nathans attempt. :silly: Soon we hooked into some Yager thanks to LC4 and the night was done  I will shout the shots at the next ride LC
We were Up early to post stupid messaged on OBT then we were off to Mexico. The Wilderbeast was left in the wake of Snows patrol and at that point thanks to Boony the corner man system broke down  We were sent on the tourist route through Lakes Entrance and It was much better view.
We Got to the park and not long later we were taken on the Menace local track tour. The Fire trails were heaps of fun and the tighter very well manicured and shovel formed berms were Epic  Long story but not for here. The little 250 was perfect in the trees and soooo much fun.
We got back to Camp and soon headed to the local pub to sample the cuisine and a couple of beverages. Once we had mastered the local lingo for beer sizes we started to drink much bigger glasses   The courtesy bus was a blast in more ways than one with the rear door almost hanging off left the rear seated occupants frozen and unable to laugh without cracking ribs. And with Boony in full swing it was a painful trip there and back. The party recommenced back at the park but ever so slowly the older folk started to slink off to bed. This did not go unnoticed and in the wee hours of the morning a VERY large noise was heard in the direction of the Tamvegas Bungalow. We were startled but amongst the confusion we regained our composure and ran to render some assistance. A few of us were soon called on to stop the smoke alarm from going off and commence a full CSI type investigation into the event. The crew it seemed were totally unaware of the loud explosion as a result of age related deafness and persistent exposure to Boony snoring. We removed the battery, tucked the oldies back into bed after emptying a few bed pans and went back to the ring of knowledge to try to work out who could have brazenly committed such an act right under our noses.
I was just glad that I did not go to bed early other wise I too could have been a victim like I have in the past with the possum incident at the Cells.
Off to Boon’s for shedies and a full debrief so more later.August 29, 2011 at 7:24 pm #207820Aaron you forgot to mention that you squeal like a bitch when a bunger is thrown into the shower cubicle while your in it!!!!!
August 29, 2011 at 9:48 pm #207822FARK :S
my head still hurts….
i had to sneak off for a little nanna nap at work today too :side:
what a bloody awesome weekend with awesomer mates….
and Boony
ps; i deny all knowledge about that good looking bloke in the spider suit :woohoo:
August 29, 2011 at 10:12 pm #207760looked like a cracker !!! :cheer:
also, looks to me like that bloke in the spidey suit has been eating too many fliesAugust 29, 2011 at 10:31 pm #207836I leave the other blokes to do the full ride reports but these were a few of the highlights to me.
The road trip- non stop laughter, bull shit and good times.
Meeting Bob, LC and Nathan, like minded riders and tue gooses that make rides like this so memorable.
The pies at Orbost we ate while Aaron and Buzz blundered on obliviousl to our detour. Yes we are bastards!
Riding that most manicured of single tracks on the Friday and wondering how menace could have put such a track together and then finding the truth.
Aarons manical laugh as he and his new friends dropped the stick of TNT into our cabin, then their trying to silence the smoke alarm while we all ignored them and went back to sleep.
The Saturday ride with a pre ride talk by a traffic cone and then riding into the biggest hills I have seen, they dont have plateaus only straight up or straight down.
Getting up and down every hill first go, including getting past Menace (even if he denies it) and having no drops all weekend.
The ride along a rock creek bed that is also the road.
The look on the bloke in the white 4wd as 20 riders (passengers) slid uncontrollably straigt at his precariously parked vehicle.
Wallhalla village, a postcard mining town in the middle of a beatiful valley that we got to ride through past a spectacular restored train line and structures.
Lunch at the Rawson pub, a place that shouldnt exist, its a pub in the middle of nowhere.
The arvo ride back to the cars with the stupid races across multiple tracks.
Aaron squeeling like a bitch when a bunger was lobbed under the door to his shower cubicle (the smoke cloud was a monster) appologies to those colaterally damaged folks in the other showers.
Saturday nights dinner, drinks, fireworks and bullshit topped off by the spidy man in his suit.
Sundays flat tracking singles morning and arvo rides with the other NSW boys while the victorians nursed their headaches. These rides confirmed our belief that Bob is a luantic. Cant say much molre for the rest of us as we tore throught the sandy singles amongst a cloud of dust that cut visability to a few feet at times. Yes Aaron I did like throwing your new play toy around in the tight stuff – its so firkn light
The trip home, 1215 km in the one day, so bloody far that we resorted to playing 500 questions about trucks just to annoy Aaron.
The company of Buzz, Boony and Polly oh and Aaron that made the trip so bloody good. Thanks boys
August 30, 2011 at 12:04 am #207761As all the crew have already said it was a top road tripand one I will remember for a long time.
Highlights from the trip were:-The trip down and trying to keep up with SHUTTLE NISSAN. Thanks for the tip on detouring via Lakes Entrance Boony. It was quite a pleasurable drive
Meeting up with some like minded people at Cooma and finding a bigger Goon on a bile than Bollocks. Thanks Bob.
The Friday ride around lake Glenmaggie and thinking these Victorians put a lot of effort into their singles by building nice smooth berms and small ledges, only to find out they were not meant for us big kids and take it easy on them( oops too late).
The so called antics by some with penny bungers and their frantic efforts to silence the smoke alarm when they failed to get the desired result.
Saturday’s ride back to the camp after an awesome lunch at Rawson
Sunday’s ride around the local singles again. This time making sure we stuck to the big kids track and having a ride on Aaron’s new toy (thanks Aaron) and realizing that a 250 is quite enjoyable to ride
The trip home on Monday was entertaining, except the last 2 hours of 500 silly questions about truck driving. Not something I like doing whilst on holiday but it kept us all going (thanks Boony).
Thanks Menace and Boony for the invite, Aaron, Boony, Snowy and Polly for the company on the trip down and back and everyone else who attended for a great weekend
Buzz

I must say I’m a little dissapointed in the memory recollection of some of the older folk

August 30, 2011 at 1:42 pm #207884Polly400 wrote:Nice graphicsYes Polly I will have to agree with you there.. Mats CRF looked great with those HRC stickers and almost looked like a factory bike. Don’t know why you didn’t mention the DRZ in the front of the shot as it was the best example I had ever seen.
I was not aware that Snow had an electrical fault. I will remind him of that as they all ribbed me when the one bolt fell out of the CRF.
Nice pictures polly good to see someone took some. We should get Sewart signed up so he can post some of his helmet cam footage.August 30, 2011 at 3:44 pm #207877Sorry Bob. I was not saying you were not in control of your bike, just commenting on some of your antics that kept us entertained. No malice intended

August 31, 2011 at 7:22 pm #207954Polly your photos are the evidentiary proof that Bob is the trouble maker. Riding bikes off relies, bungers and lighting party hats plus riding out of control the rest of the time.
