I’m going for a quick squirt early Sunday morning. I’ll be riding down the dirt track opposite the reactor (where the ‘ball chaffers’ park their cars) just after 7am. Only going for an hour or two.

Just to keep the squirrel occupied, I thought I’d re-enter the above thread again.
I’m going for another quick squirt early Sunday morning for an hour or two. So, if you want to come along……

Where is Menai? I’d been keen to come for a ride in the future. I’ll have my towbar sorted in a couple of weeks and will be raring to go :)

    Have a good ride boys….

    It is near Liverpool.

Have a look at this link and scroll to the end. You will see meeting points for “white rock” menai and some alternate meeting places out there as well.

Cheers Slug. Didn’t think to check that thread out. Liverpool isn’t too far from me either. I’m even more keen now.

I have spents years out their 4wding and know it extremely well. Unfortunately there is sometimes a bit of riff raff out there on unrego bikes, no helmets and singlets etc. Also need to be wary of bikes and 4wd’s coming the other way. Police are regularly there doing checks, which isn’t a bad thing. Best time to ride there is mid week.

I have heard that there is about 4 deaths a year there, I rode there once from white rock and I wont go back! Watagans is closer and better!! My opinion only

the deaths were actually on the tarmac road next to white rock and not on the trails. Two of the death were from a head on accident between two bikes. as long as you stay away from the area around white rock, you are pretty safe. I agree it doesn’t compare to the wattagans as far as terrain, and diversity of trails, plus it is nowhere near as scenic. The place is very dry and there is a fair bit of rubbish dumped around the place. It has always been handy for me as it is a 25min drive as opposed to a 90mins plus, drive to the wattagans.

I agree,as long as you are out there having a go well and good It just scares the crap out of me when there are so many trails that cross over everywhere and the chinese pit bikes are thicker than flies not to mention the deadbeats riding them, you cant leave any gear in the tray of your Ute as it will be gone when you get back!! If you go riding with some one who knows all the tracks it is pretty good, cept for the rubbish:angry:
