I have recently started using Michelin Deserts on my Tenere and have been very happy with the wear , the 1st I got 5400km and reckon their would be another 1500km left
. The second I have done 3200km and I reckon it will do the same again.
TB bought up the point that it’s the same tread pattern as an AC10 but with tougher side walls and a lower profile and the low profile could end up meaning dented rims?
On the recent Cameron ride, at Birdsville I had no dents in my rim. We made sure after riding Big Red that we had at least 25 lb front and back. I had 28lb in the front.
After checking the bike over today I have found 3 dents in my front rim , none to bad but all new and from Birdsville to Broken Hill !!
Has anyone else found that these tyres result in a dented rim ? Or any other suggestions in tyre type or pressures ?
