What a big day we have had! There were a few trails that I needed to check out for Next weekends ride. So at 9am this morning, I took my son Connor to the bush for a ride.
The plan was to ride from Wauchope to Comboyne Rock,Swan Crossing and back, (63km).
Any how here is a pictorial of our ride.
Connor at Comboyne rock. A scene many old Bulls would already know and one some new members will see on the weekend.

I got this photo idea from a busted arse Dirtbike forum I visit from time to time

Connor just wanted a pic of him and his bike at The Rock

We then went to Swan’s Crossing

Here is the Mud Hole TB used to fill me in last time he was here.

So the little KX did 63 Km on a tank of fuel and when we got home we had some lunch and a bit of a rest and then we loaded Taylah’s bike up and we went Flat tracking at Moose’s place. GL Puddle had his son and daughter there as was Gasit with his two girls.
    What a Kawasaki fest. 3 KX85’s, a KX 65 and a KX60 and a dirty old RM85 plus a KTM50 made up the mix.
Puddles Took the photo’s so hopefully he will post them later.
Connor flogged his bike at the flat track all afternoon and it still hasn’t run out of fuel from the ride in the bush, so I reckon we could get almost 90km out of a 5 liter tank.

Another good thing about the day was at least I knew were he was and that he was doing something good and not running the streets.

    Great Stuff Mick,
We actually saw two young blokes on TTR 110`s out with their dads today. We commented on exactly the point you raise, AT LEAST THEY KNEW WHERE THEY WERE TOO !! Learning some respect for the trails as well (I hope) & not just terrorising some neighbourhood park;)

We commented that it should be legal maybe to do this with kids not old enough to hold licenses,,, As long as they are with responsible parents & NOT on or Near public roads!!

    Food for thought hey ????????
Cheers & GO THE MIGHTY GREEN MACHINES

I recently had it out with the RTA about recreational riding permits via a feedback form at the RTA.
The reply I got back was that they would continue to monitor the systems in place in other States ie.Victoria. But they have no plans of implimenting and recreational permits in the near future, although Stockton Bight is the only place in NSW that you can get the permits for MX bikes. The reason being that it is run by the department of the envirionment and land conservation which is a totally seperate dept to the RTA.
If you are in the RTA office and you see the feedback form, why not fill one in asking about the permits, the more people that ask the better.
