Just confirming I’ll definitely be there on Friday but the minister for war and finance has me booked for Saturday so there’s a spot available on Saturday if anyone’s keen
February 21, 2011 at 8:44 pm #197145People please keep reading the 1st post on page one of this thread. If you are on the reserve list please check it and keep checking it for updates. Most of the reserves have been moved on saturdays ride.
Remember if you are riding Saturday breakfast and lunch has been catered and costs everybody $25 if you have breakfast and lunch or not. The only way we could get a price for the catering was one in all in, if you don’t want to pay the $25 I have been told to say , don’t come.
Cheers TB
February 22, 2011 at 12:57 am #196092Yep I’m out sorry for any inconvenience. Scrap booking weekend for the Mrs wins! Babysitting for me it is:( but they are good kids:) The brownie points for this one will make room for many other rides. Its for the greater good. Have fun for me.

Just get them on the Oxley highway and point them east mate. Hopefully the sex will be worth you missing the ride at the Cells and seeing the 650’s roost up the loamy/leafy trails. Especially the Cappachino trail, now it has been cleared a bit to allow the fiddys do their stuff at full song. :woohoo:Bad luck mate. Aaron can tell you all about how good it was.
I wish:(

February 26, 2011 at 10:07 pm #197221OK it is getting close now.
We pre ran my loop yesterday and it is about 60km, it has a bit of everything. Open fire trail, tight singles through rainforest, rocky tight singles, a few shitty hills to test yourself on (both up and down) Sweet flowing trail, over grown Lantana trail and a couple of bog holes for a laugh. 9 of us did it in 3.5 hours on Saturday.
I have a bit of an idea what our other leader ( Brown is his name, he is riderX’s nephew) has in store for your other loop and you can expect the same.
Friday has a lot more open stuff on it but will be around the 200km + mark (depends on how the group is travelling.
I really need everyone that is going on Fridays ride to PM me and confirm as I need to know a few logistics, Re Catering and fuel.
More to follow.
February 27, 2011 at 1:21 pm #196094I am out of the Saturday ride but will be doing the easier Friday ride as the shoulder recovery has been slower then I would like.
What’s the plan Mick, what time are we meeting and where mate.
Disclaimer: If it is in the thread somewhere and I have missed it, bite me, sometimes I can be a bit slow
February 27, 2011 at 1:40 pm #197367No worries Jeffro.
FOR THE FRIDAY RIDE
WE are meeting at the Breckenridge Farmstay at 6.45 -7 am for a Cooked breakfast. Cost $12.50
We hope to leave about the 8am mark.
We will be doing some main trail and singles to Comboyne Rock.We will check out the rock if the weather is clear as the view is awesome on a Good day. WE will then travel through some private property and the gravel road to Elands for Fuel and a drink. We will then Check out Ellenborough Falls before hitting the bush again for some leafy open trail and singles and make our way to Gingers Creek via the Cells for lunch and fuel again. We will then return to Elands via some different trails. A top up of fuel at Elands before we make the mad dash back to Wauchope in order to be back in time to hit Wauchope RSL for dinner at 7pm.
I am hoping this loop of approx 240km will see us back by about 4-5pm all going well. I reserve the right to change the route at anytime to make up any lost time or any other reason. If I think we have to do extra main trail for any reason so be it.
At this stage I think we will have 20 riders.February 27, 2011 at 1:53 pm #196095How long till friday, must be soon:laugh:

Hey Merv, Sorry if we missed your post!!
If you are keen for both days, book yourself into the Breckenridge farmstay and come on up, One more rider wont hurt.
No doubt someone else is bound to pull out anyhow.
