AnonymousJust realised that racytracy has not ridden her bike at all this year. I think she has only done 1 ride since the obt chrissy party.
Therefore we are going riding this weekend
Anywhere from the central coast to Cessnock will be fine.
So, anyone else keen?
As a suggestion. I have a track at mount sugarloaf that I have been keen to do for ages. maybe lunch and fuel at the gap?. it will be cruisy, have some hills, and a few sprints. keen?
February 23, 2009 at 6:39 am #123452I’m riding Suggie 2morrow (cruisy, have some hills, and a few sprints
).
Havent ridden there for a year or so, so should prove to be “interesting”Can you still ride the loop behind “the Gap” servo.
As for the weekend I’m working

AnonymousI might be interested if all my other friends are busy  I could be tempted out for a ride to Sugarloaf, never been there. I was going to post a ride and see interest for this Sunday at the Wattie’s anyway….

do you want to come riding too?He better not go for a ride as he has to stay fit for Wauchope the following weekend. Give that dickie shoulder a rest.
February 24, 2009 at 8:03 pm #123456I can probably attend Sunday, I’m planning to race my catamaran on Sat.
I have been trying to explore Sugarloaf for viable ST with a mate but we keep going round in circles near Freemans.
I know how to get to the top and run the ridge but we just have fun exploring and sipping Late’s at the servo with the Beemer (will there be any risk of scratching it on this ride?)I know an easy way to join the Watagans to Freemans Gap with only about 300mtr of tar so we could try to do the flat rock trail as well but they were building gates to close it off due to erosion some weeks ago.
Anyone know if the gates each end of slippery rock are locked yet?

AnonymousSo interested parties so far are:
Moto
Champo
Racytracy
Eagle
WikdBeemerAnymore takers? Itsagas and friends?
February 25, 2009 at 6:27 am #123729not too sure about the gates on slippery Rock Road, but I can report that the loop behind the Gap Servo, has been used as a dumping ground and has a fence running thru the midle of it.
theres some good single track off Aub’s Ridge Rd, and a short section on Archery Rd, just past the Gate.

AnonymousDanD and I might be interested. We are getting the kids looked after anyway and I would love to get out. I haven’t seen Tracy in ages. We do a lot of riding out behind the gap servo. There is a really nice track that I have been telling Tracy about for a while that is really cool. We usually start out near West Wallsend cemetery, ride through to Killi then up near the archery club. Turn left somewhere in there and there’s a cool run through to the servo. Not too hard (for girls that is). You can start right near the archery club but I like the ride through Killi. But we are up for anywhere. I haven’t talked to DanD yet but I am sure that he would be fine with it. I know his back tyre is pretty rooted but he might be able to get a new one on before then. Decide on a day and I can let you know for certain.
February 25, 2009 at 10:17 am #123457Looks like a good crew building for the weekend Champo,,,,,
Hope it can be a goer:) -
