There is a really nice track that I have been telling Tracy about for a while that is really cool. We usually start out near West Wallsend cemetery, ride through to Killi then up near the archery club. Turn left somewhere in there and there’s a cool run through to the servo. Not too hard (for girls that is). You can start right near the archery club but I like the ride through Killi. But we are up for anywhere. I haven’t talked to DanD yet but I am sure that he would be fine with it. I know his back tyre is pretty rooted but he might be able to get a new one on before then. Decide on a day and I can let you know for certain.that sounds like an excellent plan (we also need to get bike fit for denman). we need to set a start time. what time suits you all the Ds?

Anytime starting from 8 is fine with us. Also DanD found this little loop that is sort of out in the middle of nowhere and we think that it might have been made for mountain bikes but DanD found the track really good. It’s very tight to start off with and a bit tricky (I’m not sure I would be keen to do it again) but it would be good for the guys and us girls can just bypass it if we want.
It’s OK it you want to try somewhere else though. Anywhere’s fine really.

Anonymousyep i know the one you are thinking of. i leave the mountain bike tracks to the mountain bikes, but there is some that are bike and 4wd tracks that we should go on.
so is 8am at the west wallsend cemetry good for everyone?

AnonymousSounds good Champo. The loop that I found I am not sure if it is a mountain bike track or not. It’s not the one near Westy which is used a fair bit by the mountain bikes it is more towards the gap. Someone has marked it and taped it but has not really been cut in yet. A good little loop with plenty of knarly stuff.
If we go from Westy Cemetry we can get in a good ride up to the gap for a drink and then head back and have a bit of an explore if everyones happy with that.February 26, 2009 at 1:20 am #123882

AnonymousAs mentioned in the other thread (won’t respond there anymore for the sake of keeping it in one place) just do your thing, if I/we can get there we will. There are several fart arse options for getting him and his bike to Newy. He hasn’t confirmed he is even coming yet

If its like a half day ride I’d like to meet at 9 but I can try to make 8 if needed.
I just haven’t been to the meeting point before.February 26, 2009 at 2:05 am #123911
AnonymousI have no idea where the meeting point is either, that can’t be too hard to sort though.

Anonymousi’ll post a map of the meeting point on the site hopfully tonight
it’s not far of the fwy. (moto: from the central coast, it does not take much more time than getting to the pines)

AnonymousThanks Champo, the issue is that Matt doesn’t have a trailer and at the minute can’t get there. I’ve only ever had one bike on my trailer although with a squeeze we might get two. It also means I have to go to the coat first, get his bike, come back to Newy do a ride and then go back to the coast and back to the bay.
He’s looking to see if he can borrow his old mans van
He’s said he’ll come if he can get transport sorted.

AnonymousLooks like I will get my forks back tomorrow so I can whip them in Saturday. So if you don’t mind an old fart tagging along put me in for the ride.
Looking forward to my first ride with the “Old Bulls”.
