I need some advise on the do’s and don’ts about storing a mini bike. I have a 88 model JR50 which was my sons first bike and my daughters also. I don’t want to get rid of it, so I was going to put it up on a shelf in the garage but I am unsure about leaving fuel in it, air in tyres, oil ect. Also what to do with regards to the seat cover and stuff.

I have a 1981 PW50 on a shelf in my shed. We get it down and start it every so often and put it back with the same petrol and all. I wouldn’t worry about the JR.

I have also researched this some suggestions were, run it with fuel tap off until fuel runs out, empty tank of petrol, try and elevate so tyres are not touching the ground, somewhere it was mentioned about an additive into the oil but can’t remember what it was, also a nice cover over it keep dust and critters off it.

    Cheers
    Chris.
