ollie did you get your old zuki going
February 3, 2012 at 1:14 am #215386I started  but had a major shed clean up and have just got both the XR and the Gasser going again  (been getting over injuries myself)
I would love to take it out for a blat around Maria SF.
The XR still puts a smile on my dial, but it is not the pure adrenalin rush that your bikes do. (not really what I had intended for it either,ie commuter adventure Hack) with 15/45 gearing flat out was only good for 149km/h I thought I would get the ton easy,my old DRZ400 did over in NZ 👿

It’s over geared Ollie
They will go faster with 14/48 or 15/48 specially a standard engine it won’t have the power to pull a 45. Hell they ran 14/48 on the Baja from memory and they did 115MPH
Oh and a DRZ that does over a ton    I have to agree with Rat
Ktmrat wrote:Ollie you always have a smile on ya face cause your stupidI know a bloke with a DRZ 440 it has every mod done spend zillions and on the flat won’t do over 150 (GPS)
Should say welcome back Rat and Bull but I won’t

chain buffer is the one that goes around the swingarm, worn thru near the pivot. 15/45 is the commuter gearing with semi road tyres
clutch was slipping as well (new clutch ordered )
