I’ve just been out in the shed tinkering with the mighty banana in readiness for the caves ride. I had to pull one of the radiator braces off and straighten it out after a less than successful downhill attempt. I hate to think what might have happened without the guards and braces as it was, only the brace was damaged.
Also lubricated everything I could find to lube and dropped the air out of the tyres and let the tubes resettle back into place to remove any twisting and cleaned and reset the gap on the spark plug. All I need to do now is oil and refit the air filter once it dries. I just need to get a few spares to take with me, pack my gear and I’m ready to go.
BRING IT ON :woohoo: :woohoo: :silly: :silly: :side: 😆 :woohoo: :woohoo:

AnonymousI’m not even changing the air filter or oil for this ride  I’ll start my intense maintenance schedule tonight when I get the can of chain lube out and finish by using it to oil my chain
Maybe that’s why the exhaust falls off my bike
May 18, 2009 at 11:28 pm #134878Ha Ha I have even impressed myself by changing my rear tyre and putting my 48t sprocket on, Now I know why everyone gets TB to do it..
Removed both wheels, greased up the axles, last ride we went on one of the guys got a flat and it took us about an 1hour just to get the axle out… Have a couple of spare air filters, quick check over all the nuts and bolts etc. Put my number plate back on after it fell off. She’s ready to go.

May 19, 2009 at 2:56 am #118414I have been checking the weather forecast for the weekend, rain up ’til and including Friday but should clear up for Saturday/Sunday. Hopefully not too wet but at least the dust shoudn’t be a problem.
How long now Eagle?
May 19, 2009 at 3:06 am #134919its pretty dusty up around Hampton, so no doubt it will dry out in time for our arrival

I have had to repair/ fit parts to your bike before we could leave on two rides, once at my place nite before we left and at the A4DE Orange ride nite before we rode the next day, both times there was a far amount of drama running around sourcing parts at the last minute, wheel brgs once and chain and sprockets the last time (you couldnt get the rear size you wanted) so I would say you on track and things are normal mate
Happy you have so little to do, good for you
