Having had my suspension “done” by Tekniks,I have been very happy with the results . Something that happened yesterday really drove home how bloody good it actually is.
I was thundering along a flowing trail leading a couple of other guys (quite possibly a little over the prescribed 60kmh speed limit that the forestry has proclaimed) when I just missed a black snake on the trail,not backing off any, I looked over my shoulder to see the antics of the following riders when they came across the snake. In the process of looking over my shoulder,I failed to see the fast approaching erosion mound and hit it pinned. The XR has never flown so far or high since I have owned it!! Instead of coming down with a massive case out,it soaked up the landing with a small head shake and just kept tracking straight. I know for a fact that before the suspension was done it would probably have flown just as far but it would have been nose down in flight, with a front wheel landing that would have had dire consequences and I doubt if I would have been here at work telling you this story this morning.
