Well the ride finally happened.
TB, Mal5.1 and OBwidow were on a mission this morning (something about a new Beemer) so they went to Pie in the Sky from Sydney metro whereas I was coming from the Central Coast.I figured even though TB & crew were getting there early they would spend time eating pies and drinking coffee then maybe do a run or 2 down to the river.
So I was a little late leaving home considering I was planning a stop or 2 on the way to look at road helmets, well that’s what I did and it turns out by the time I arrive at Cowan I have just missed them.No matter though, there’s always someone I know at Pie in the Sky and that was the case today.
The ride.
It was a rather slow and uneventfull ride from home, saw 1 highway patrol car going the other way and pretty sure an unmarked car came up from behind somewhere after I crossed the river, cheeky bugger, but it’s his bad for driving a bright green car.
I did stop on the way, first at West Gosford to look at helmets (didn’t buy one) and then at Road Warriors cafe to get a cold drink and have a smoke.
There is a bloke trying to run a bike shop there now “Road Warrior Motorcycle Works”.
He has these bright looking choppers which it seems come out of China. I just laughed and wished him good luck, he is gonna need it.Weather was hot but not too bad with the cloud cover.
After a couple of pies and iced coffee I went on to Berowra to top up the fuel tank and then just cruised home again via West Gosford.
The trip home was hot as because the cloud cover was dissappearing and then when I dropped altitude on the Kariong hill the air temp went up by about 10C.I was glad to get home again and out of the heat (I had left the air con. running)
Sorry there’s no pics but they would only be of my bike in front of a river view anyway.
So TB, Mal have you anything to report from todays proceedings???

I dont know about the others but I had iced coffee, but the ice had already melted when they brought it to the table
Cracked pepper pie was good 10/10 and blue berry was 9/10 (should have had whipped cream on it).
