I picked up a set (front and rear) of these suckers from Rock the other day. I had seen them on Ebay and read about them a while ago. So knowing at least the front stock Rim Lock was stuffed I fork over the dough.
They are more expensive than the common steel/ alloy and rubber ones, I think Rock have the traditional type starting at about $15* and these beauties were $26.95* for 1.6 and 2.15 each. This price is better by about $10 to $15, minimum, than even ebay can do including freight [* Before OBT discount & Price not confirmed].

They fit as normal and, at least for the XR, torque up to the same tension as the manual, the difference is in the ride. I don’t and haven’t had a wheel balance for the bike for as long as I’ve owned it, since I usually spend stuff time all on the black top. When I do ride on the road it has always been a little on the rough side, these seem to completely eliminate all the bounce or bump when running DOT approved Pirelli Scorpion XC Mid Hard 120/100-18R.

I know of a local bike or two that has copped a whack on its rear rim causing it to deform slightly and has a heap of weight added to it to counter that, I’m not sure if these would be suitable in that case. But for me they’ve been great so far.

Big thumbs up to them and Rock Motorcycles for an awesome deal and advice! :woohoo:
