A shocking crash in the Malaysian GP.

Simoncelli lost the front end and was sliding off, but the front tyre gripped again and sent him back across the track and he was smashed into by Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi.

Simoncellis’ helmet came off and Colin Edwards dislocated his shoulder.

He and Rossi are pretty upset.

The race was stopped immediately and has been stopped for over an hour.

THE RACE HAS JUST BEEN CANCELLED!!!,

Let’s all pray for Simoncelli, to what ever high being you believe in!!

Must be bad for them to cancel the race. Hope Simoncelli is OK and can recover.

On a side note, pretty bad that Simoncelli’s helmet came off. Not sure if it’s relevant but could his hair have something to do with this. Maybe having an ill fitting helmet due to getting all that hair tucked in.

    Man he had big ones!

Packed a heap of living into his 20 something years.

    A sad day indeed.

    Thoughts for Colin Edwards too.

I watched the interview with Simoncelli from the Philip Island GP. He was an interesting, flambouant character and an awesome rider.

    Sad news. RIP :(

It was a nasty incident :(
They say he was the New Character of the sport, same flambouyant ways as a ypung Rossi ,,,

The body language of the riders as they were informed by the CEO of the race was telling

R.I.P Marco , you will be sadly missed

I love my MotoGP, this crash shocked me as I am sure it shocked all that watched, the sight of the helmet bouncing down the track, I will never forget !!
Motorcycling has just lost one of the best and we will miss his unique ways
    R.I.P Marco

Thoughts also for Colin Edwards he will have some dark thoughts to deal with.

Its hard to comprehend the devastation that occurred on the MotoGP tonight and the pain its causing to the family, race mate and friends. Nothing can change what happened all we can do is celebrate a great rider and learn from the experience. It’s another reminder to us all that our passions can bring this sort of outcome but its important to live life to the fullest and make sure our loved ones know how we feel…. RIP Marco
