I’m sure now he knows he is kicking himself for not seeing the bleeding obvious – which was meant to be the point of my post! Sorry if I upset you!On topic, I reckon the KTM’s of the last few years are puke-worthy in the looks department. Where’s the puke smiley!
Nothing personal moto, just hate the look of them is all!
I reckon the 08 KTM530 was a awesome looking bike, here is Ant’s on Top of Bago Mountain.

AnonymousECKS – Just to let you know that you were close to making me cry with your last comments about KTM’s :p
Mick – I reckon the 08’s looked better than the 09’s too. I’ve got an aftermarket MX decal kit from the states for my bike though. Bad ass it up a bit

AnonymousComing from a man who rode a bannana () I’m quite literally disgusted at your comments! :woohoo:
January 13, 2009 at 5:16 am #118131Well I’ll say this for the banana: Its not a bloody KTM!
Would it make you feel better to know that I too once had a KTM? ’99 KTM640 with motard wheels and real wheels.. what an experience! Live and learn I say!
January 13, 2009 at 6:42 am #118134this is good stuff ecks man but i reckon the ktms are good bikes when they are going?? got the shits with mine a while ago when it was getting fixed thought about a wr450 sat on one at shop and just wanted my ktm back so have stuck with it the yamaha felt shit after a ktm530 white wr s look real good
January 13, 2009 at 8:40 am #118143To be totally honest the KTM’s are a good bike if that’s what you want. They are fast, they handle, they are light, they look contemporary (which to me is not a positive, but that’s me). On the other hand they do take a lot of looking after compared to, say, a WR or DRZ. That’s the tradeoff for a “race” bike I suppose.
But any chance I get I’ll be taking the piss out of them – because most KTM owners bite so very well!!
January 13, 2009 at 9:34 am #118150i don t think they need any more looking after than a wr oil changes and air filters about the same front sprocket seal set up is not very good on ktms valves last just as long .just have to fix factery faults oil pump seals crank seals cam chain tensioner on 08 models dealer should do seals for warranty .wr are race bikes anyway keep bagging them ktms out its fun problem is i like yamahas to much to bag them out but they do need another gear

AnonymousMick do you want another kid? I promise I will keep my room tidy if you send me to learn to ride. It’s good to hear the kids are enjoying the sport. My Taylah and Emma want to know when their pink Pee Wee’s are coming after meeting your Taylah.

January 13, 2009 at 12:52 pm #109864On the bike thing..you know, what makes us buy what we buy. I think you all seem to miss it in your hurry to Hag out each others ride. I bought My Husky, no test ride, sight unseen. $11700.00 then waited for the best part of a week wondering if I did the right thing. Why? ‘Cause as a kid I remember reading about these bikes, wanting one, swearing on my mothers grave, thaty I’d get one. It didnt cross my mind that in the years passed they would have changed orientation or anything like that. I’m happy with what I bought, I’ve ridden with some that aren’t. At the end of the day, when i get home and park it, it doesnt really matter what it’s brand is, it was the day I remember. Some days some people need to borrow a ride, they get one, they ride it, they go home with a Grin, even if it was a piece of crap, because they got to ride and enjoy the day.
( now all said n done, when you all getting a HUSKY?!!)
January 13, 2009 at 7:51 pm #118175Well said Husky.
January 13, 2009 at 9:29 pm #118176Nice one Husky! I was in that boat a couple of months ago and a mate brought me along for a ride with them on his spare TTR250. I had an absolute ball!! I even got a ride on a KTM250EXC (2-stroke) for shits and giggles! So you see, I’m not a KTM snob at all really, I just bag them out a lot!
Pays to have good mates doens’t it!
