Great pics KTM_Rules. Thanks for laughing at us gumbies while you took them. Looking forwards to the videos. :)

Looking at some of the photos I think the term “on the trail” is a bit of an exaggeration. Can’t see much in the way of a trail there :D

    Mick :)

OK Mick25. You may have to get onto the introduce yourself section and give the OBT crew a rundown of yourself. I reckon Sick_Mick should have been your username. Hope you are better now and that shiny KTM is shiny again. Top idea taking the red spring out for this ride! :silly:

    Sunday video.

I forgot to turn the helmet cam on most of the time. This is the only stuff worth uploading. Hope it’s ok.

Not fair . A vine caught my helmet and dragged me off the bike. It was a tricky downhill. I guess some of your incidents may have been left on the editing table Mal 1.0. ;) . Nice video mate. Always good to relive the ride this way.

    Hey,

Thanks Murph for puting on a great 2 day ride. Was a awesome weekend :)

And thanks to every one else for making the weekend so good. Awesome crew. Loads of helpers when needed and advice.

I pulled up very sore as many would have l think on Tuesday (apart from KTM Rules). The ribs are getting better after one (of many) little stack on Sunday where l landed on a tree stump. The Honda was looking very second hand when l washer her down on Tuesday so have been working on her since for the next ride.

Think l will join you guys for the Birthday ride and take on Galey300’s grade 4-5 ride

Nice to meet you and I enjoyed riding with you on the weekend. Keep doing more of those rides and you will be nearly as good as KTM_Rules! B)

    Day 2
Again we started with bacon and egg rolls, I should of opted for cereal but with the smell of bacon on the barby, well you know what I mean. ;)
Dude showed up and Thrillseeker not far behind. Everyone geared up and we were off.
Did the Arcadia single and crossed the main road and that was where we stopped.
Bob was missing something from the head of his engine and it was spewing out oil and KTM_Rules machine had broken a hose clamp on the radiator, so we limped back to my place for some shed engineering. The KTM was an easy fix, fitting a new hose clamp but Bob’s bike was a little more testing. His bike was missing a plug where the decompression cable would of gone. After bandying a few ideas around Bob was happy with a bolt wrapped with plenty of thread tape forced into the hole. We even drilled a hole through head of the bolt and secured it with tie wire. A true mix of shed and farm engineering.
We were then off again, dropping into the railway cutting and out through Tims singles. Some had issues with a wrong line taken at the water crossing but everbody made it through and I think most did the rock step up with ease. Into Tims newer single which was tight but did have a nice little up hill off camber challenge at the end. More singles following the old rail line and into another of our freshly made singles. This one had plenty of logs to scamper over so I’m sure everbody was warmed up by then.
Yet more new singles were riden before riding through the tunnel at Awaba.
A hell of a lot of rubbish had been dumped out that way since we were there last and I wish the dirty bastards would wake up to themselves.  This is a beautiful country, lets try and keep it that way.
Out past the Westlakes Moto X track and around under the freeway to K9. This hill is getting rutted badly but we all got to the top eventually. It was here that I handed the reins over to Mr KTM and he showed us some fresh new singles through some great technical gullys and hills. One hill climb was not done by Mal, Dude and myself so I will have to get back out there with Tim and have a descent go. Plenty more singles before lunch at the Gap.
    To be continued

After lunch I tried to ring my kid, Tim. He had an exam to do at tech and was thinking of linking up for the arvo session. Silly mobiles, no reception. ;) Anyway we headed around to the southside. Did the rutted orange clay hill and then onto Tim and my little single which lead us up to Amazon. Surprisingly Tim was there waiting for us. B) I was glad because I could tag team him and let him carry on the Murphs ride.
It was here that some us lost our heart to go up. Maybe it was me who planted the seed but Mal, Thrillseeker and Dude were also not too keen to ride up Amazon.  Much to Mr Rules dismay. ;) We rode up to stage 1 to help Bob up and wished Chris, Tim, Galey and Bob good luck then headed for home. Most of us did the little erzberg quarry test and then around to do some of the Awaba singles which are getting a little chewed out but still great fun.
A swim in the pool and a cold beverage was had waiting for the “A team” to arrive home and then it was all over. :)
Thanks again to Al, Mick, Ben, Galey, Bob, Chris, Mal, Sam, Ev and Tim for making it what is was. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
    Cheers

P.S. Please feel free to correct my view as I was not always in the pack where the fun is.
Thanks KTM_Rules for posting so many pics
Thanks for the the other pics and bits to everybody else

Wow, I have just bought myself a laptop and I can now access all those bloody you tube snips that I’ve been missing out on.
Murph meets the 22nd century.
Probably use all of my pre paid dongle on doing just that.
    Cheers

Caution Murph. You can get very sidetracked on Youtube. Enjoy.

Wait until KTM uploads his collection of evidence , then the fun begins, namely laughing at Bob rolling down hills.
