I heard there was a little more to it then that Diddel, a reason that made a fair bit of common sense really ;) A medical reason was the mail I got from the source

Ah Diddel. You poor young sole. It was more like “MAL 30% OF A RIDE” :P . If you want to bag me do it properly and get your maths correct.

I do get the 51 part by the way.

You are awesome Diddel and ride like David Knight. There are you happy that you the best now.

Who in their right mind would want to ride in the Wato’s in these conditions  Good effort Mal for going as long as you have. I think I will do some garage time tomorrow.

    A Dudes view B)

    Everything started out good. :)
Very humid 90% and around 25oc all good as you are riding along enjoying the breeze.

Diddle led us through leaf littered single trail unravelling before us and all was good. :cheer:

10ks Into it, went down this track which was like a lost track that everyone forgot where it was, lets call it the

    ‘The Forgotten trail’,

Well this trail was overgrown and tight and was having fun,
then confronted by fallen trees that we had to drag bikes under,
getting a bit hot at this time.
In a gully no wind etc,

We then got to this hill.

    Steep hill.

The kind when a bike stopped forward motion, downhill motion took over.

Well Diddle had a go got so far then came back down. :side:
Murph went up and made it look easy, :P Diddle had another go and made it as well as Smurph. :cheer:

    My turn.
1st attempt got bike a bit out of shape and slid back down hill.
2nd attempt made it to the ‘hard bit’ Murph and Mal had ropes and dragged the husky 510 over that bit and proceeded up the hill and got to within 15 meters from top.

Saying I was sapped of energy is an UNDERSTATEMENT.
Understatement, I was constantly drinking water that seemed to be making me feel no better.
    I was physically smashed.
Mal motored up in style and the boys helped me up the last 15 meters.
Recovery took 20 mins at least and I wasn’t in the mood to continue on.

Cause Murph and Mal helped me so much ‘they were fatigued as well  so back to cars via main track.

    On reflexion.
*Not the day to attempt grade 4+ ride in hot and very humid conditions.

*Maybe a mud Tyre on rear may have helped.

*My fault this ride was shorten for Mal and Murph.

    Live and learn Hopefully.

    Bring on winter. B)

    Top report Dude
    Can’t really add much
Just that, after us old fellas pulled the pin and got back to the cars it absolutely belted down with rain and cracking thunder and lightning. I have a mate who lives near by and he told me this morning that he got 52mm within the hour in that storm.
Smurph and Diddel were still out there somewhere as they decided to solider on
 The reports of riding up Hitchcocks in waterfalls sounded awesome when they returned :woohoo: :woohoo:
Dude, don’t blame youself. I think we would of probably pulled the pin anyway

I have to hang around her just for the Muphsberg reports, the heroic efforts of the riders and nostlagic feeling I get when reading them! Good onya Smurph and Diddel for keeping going, your both young, full of energy and very capable on a bike.

Mal, Muprh and Dude do really well for old timers too, keep those Murphsbergs rolling!

    Good onya Moto
Sorry but I didn’t find your watch, then again it was a bit hard to stop on that steep section of track :(
Check E-bay in case one of the other boys picked it up  :P ;)
    Cheers mate

Top report Dude. Says it all really. B)

The tracks would have been great if it wasn’t as wet. But you get that. I had a great day and as Dude said down in the gullies with no wind and draging your bike under tree after tree was sapping the energy real quick. :X

Diddel and Smurph did good to continue on well done youngens. ;)

Dude, don’t blame yourself for me pulling the pin mate. I made the decision after trying to have a wee and only a cap full of bright yellow stuff came out. I had comsumed 5 litres of fluids in th 12 hours prior to the ride and that is what was left after 30kms. I had 2 more days of hard (for me) riding to go and I did want to make sure you got back to the car safely had some water.

Thanks for the ride guys and I want to go back in winter and do the full loop. :woohoo:

Here a few pics and vids for day 1
