    Well,
the ride prep the night before was meant to be a simple affair. Put the bikes on the trailer and pack some gear-WRONG:angry: My son Tim, like any teenager, failed to do the necessary repairs through the week:angry: That left us wondering why his bike wouldn’t start and why the front brakes were grinding. Luckily a new plug fixed the starting problem, but sourcing some new front pads was another issue:ohmy: In the shed I have a cupboard draw with used items and we found a pair of pads that still had a bit of meat on them so in they went:) All good
Arrived at the basin after dropping off some fuel at spot “X”. Nathan was already there so we unpacked and geared up in the chilly winter air. It is always a few degree cooler in the Basin than anywhere else:S
Headed off back up the road we came in on practising wheelies:woohoo: Linked up with some nice singles that ran south intil they ran out so we turned around and followed the main rd back until we linked some singles on the left finding ourselves back at the car after a nice little warm up of about 18kms. Refuel then into it heading towars the Koala trail taking all the singles we could find:woohoo: Negotiated a gnarly rocky downhill and ended up doing the Koala trail in reverse:woohoo:
Rode around Mt Warrawalong (spelling ???) and found a way to the top where the view was magnificentB) Found our way down to Watagan creek rd then came back up via a Wave Rock which had a nasty little rocky section that didn’t seem to hold us up at all:woohoo:
Topped up fuel at spot “X” and than ran all the singles back to the Basin. Tim had a fair off a few kms from the car and told us he was going to ride the main rd back so I assumed the handle bar in the gut must of knocked him around a bit:unsure:
A great ride, findng more and more tracks to make the loops more challenging:woohoo: :woohoo: :silly:
My good mate Mal5.1 or 300 (oops) will hopefully post a couple of pics:)
    Cheers
