Quote:Hey Scott do you know who built the first fully legal roatry powered corolla in NSW?.
It was a Ke-36 panelvan with initially a 12a extend port and celica 5 speed and celica trd 3.7 clutched diff, 12.5″ fully floating brakes on the front, a roll centre of 20 cm, weight bias of 55/45, handled like a sports sedan, full chassis XU1 springs over TRD struts, had over $40K spent on it by the late 80s’, over 60k by the time it was let go. Had a consulting engineer all the way through the build.
And within two years cause it paved the way with the RTA there were at least 5 more done all featured in glossy mags as groundbreaking. It finished at 1150 Kgs, 13B TO4, 350+ RWHP, top speed of 240+, 1/4 mile was a disappointment cause it was set up for roundy roundies
Cause that’s where my first house went……

Holy crap!!!
mine was just a 12a bridgeport s5 Rx7 5 speed, hilux diff, s3 Rx3 dics with Vt commodore calipers, reset leaf springs and cut coils in the front lol.

July 15, 2009 at 9:12 am #143878I like boys that wear flat brimmed caps and REALLY big sunnies too! TB’d recognise that silver on red jobbie in the last photos, having ridden past it a couple of times
That thing brings a smile on my face everytime I go past it.
I think mini-trucks are silly

Your first paragraph answered my question why;)

AnonymousTISCO – nice looking ride mate.
Me being somewhat not up on the whole mini truck thing, do you/can you actually drive them when they are lowered all the way down? I am not being a critic just curious.
July 15, 2009 at 10:23 am #143905hey TISCO, what is TISCO??????????
July 15, 2009 at 11:22 am #143901I still don’t like the way this thread is heading or where it’s been, still like the ute tisco, mines exactly the Oppo, ’01 Rodeo 2wd on 4wd chassis, chrome everything outside, big chunky 75 series on wide U.S. eagle rims, raised a bit at the rear, chipped and exhausted, setup long distance driving. Me best mate has a ’52 Dodge ute (Looks like Mater) with everything ready to go, running gear out of the latest GT, hiace front end,Drop axles, absolutely everything down to the interior, he’s just gotta get the time to restore and bolt it up………..Like i said I love a custom anything.

July 15, 2009 at 11:30 am #143922My boys love the lowered utes, next show around Penrith or the likes let me know when I am in at work Scotty and I will bring the kids along, besides if its for charity its all good
