April 6, 2010 at 11:42 pm #175472Just sitting in the house here drinking my coffee watching the Geoff Ballards, Toby Prices etc walking past heading over the back to walk the special test here at Mal’s place. Its a tough walk over up and down some really steep grass hills, how steep well the organisers were to ferry people back and forth in 4×4’s but that was cancelled because of the rain and the terrain! The special test here is I reckon one of the most awesome tests I have ever seen, the whole thing can be viewed from one spot as its on the side of a steep hill shaped like a half bowl if that make sense. Sadly this test is closed to the public due to access problems as the people walking over there now are discovering. Access to the rear for the bikes is through a working logging area that will stop work for a couple of hrs the two days they come through.

And
Its only the engine cases Moto, also hubs and muffler with the above although you can apply to replace the muffler due to a noisy bike

MacKa…April 7, 2010 at 12:13 pm #175476Well here we go.
My first event is nearly here. I’m feeling nervously excited and just keen to get on the bike. I think we are well prepped and we all have our jobs to do for the next 4 days. The ute is packed and Donna and I have walked a few tracks today and they look awesome. I’d like to thank the Oyster Bay Club and Central Tablelands Club and everyone else involved for putting so much time and effort into this year’s 4 Day Event.
Our property was open today for the riders to walk the special test. The property was restricted access because of forestry logging pine trees at the back access gate, the steepness of the access through our property and because we didn’t want riders traipsing past our front door for four days.
I slipped down this morning to make sure all was going ok and to take a few photos. Thanks for all the help and support from OBT and their sponsors. TB will keep you posted through the event.
Menace – Love your song mate, thanks heaps. Now I will be humming “Don’t worry be happy” for the next 4 days.

April 7, 2010 at 7:45 pm #175488Well here we are at 5.30 Rocket, Donna, Mal and myself having breakfast, the wind is howling I mean really blowing, its cold and it flogged down rain last night. I am sitting here glad I am not riding its terrible weather, its making the the caves to caves ride seem like a summer spirit. Riding through the pine forests for the 2nd time after 500+ bikes have been through a trail will be a test, welcome to your first ever race Mal
