Enjoyed the report jtb thanks for taking the time to do it
August 18, 2013 at 2:06 am #247897No probs mate, I enjoyed the ride… just wish I was bike fitter. But that will come… eventually
August 18, 2013 at 5:36 am #248239Very entertaining report JTB ,they are always a great ride ,shame you guys missed, the rest.
toesAugust 18, 2013 at 10:24 pm #248241Thanks to TB & the crew for organising the ride. I scored a box of Motul products – happy days
Tip for new blokes – Apparantly all you have to do is look vaguely like an american late night talk show host to get a prize !
The ride was a real variety. From black top, to dusty open stuff, to sand, to tight single, hills, steep decents, & everything in between.
Well, my near new Tenere is now well & truely 2nd hand & a bit bent in places – as are my ribs
Had a really good day on Saturday until ( as Casey Stoner said to Valentino Rossi ) “my ambition outwayed my ability”
I need lots more practice riding before attempting another Nav ride. I’m not used to that sort distance (unless it’s all open stuff) & paid the price for getting tired & losing concentration.
Will try & do the full 2 days next time.
Cheers,
BuckyAugust 18, 2013 at 10:46 pm #247898School holidays training ride Bucky! :woohoo:
I know a bloke who has a GPS map he can lend me…
You know a bloke with a spot…
What could go wrong?
August 23, 2013 at 10:25 am #248304I finally got around to uploading these photos.
This is where Bucky took his fall. Was getting a bit late in the day. I’m not sure who actually decided to lay down first, the Tenere or Bucky :pinch: :

Either way Bucky was a little camera shy. I think he may have been shedding a bit of a tear for his new ride

Has to happen sooner or later (I know that doesn’t make it easier to swallow though
August 23, 2013 at 10:27 am #248523And of course, not to be out done by one of those bloody novacastrian’s

August 23, 2013 at 11:02 pm #247899HB, you’ll need to come on the next one! I know a bloke that carries a multi meter so if you need one trackside you’ll be right!

Gotta say that still has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen out in the scrub. I thought HB was going to grab his ears to make sure his head didn’t fall off.
