The IT I bought off mickmeld has started to come apart! Ive sent the barrel off to see what can be done to it…bored and honed for a new piston kit and hopefully be back in the new year for the rebuild to start. Ive check all over the bike and there are some small bits I can get thru forums, like sidecovers etc, but it just needs a cleanup and she’ll be ready to ride soon.! I’ll post some pics as I remember to take them..

just a quick update, bike stripped, painted frame, cleaned all other bits, front end checked and cleaned, reassembled. Bottom end done, new seals and bearings, barrel honed and a new piston is ready to be fitted. New 2nd hand tyres are ready to be fitted. All up it should be finished in a couple of weeks. looking forward to the finished article!! After your last post about the missing nuts, I had a rat around in the shed and it appears that I never got them with the bike in the first place. It was in Pieces when I got it.

I was going to say…. how can it have no nuts on the head?? So it came to you in bits – ok.
Hopefully that soft as butter gearbox there is still in working order Rat. They are not the strongest.
Well done on the restoration! Keep the pics coming as you get it together.
