that IS fully sick AB.
welcome to the 3 hungy hall of fame mate
how big is the tank on her mate, the main reason i didnt buy one when i got my kato was the tank size, i was very tempted otherwise.
i think its around the 8 litre mark?
i believe the 2010 has a 10.5L now. i wonder if theyre interchangable??could be worth looking into.

AnonymousNice choice Trent. I have been patiently waiting here for the announcement, I was expecting it sooner to be honest though!
The bike looks sweet I’m sure you’ll love it. Regarding 450 power I don’t think they are much different. Well, mine isn’t. Peak horsepower for the 300 and 450 near as damn it identical and the power comes in very swiftly on band.
The good thing with the torque controller is that you have the option to adjust the feel on the fly….nice
I’m going to do a loop of the South end of the Watto’s which will be a good test ride on the 28th if you’re keen?

One of those shiny TM`s would look good in anyones garage :woohoo:
starting to think beemas got a fettish with clean sheds beages ?
I dont think so Boonster…
Shed 1, not bad
Shed 2, hmmm
Shed 3, door wouldn’t open because of the untidyness
Note; sign in shed 2: “Oh Lord, please help me keep my big mouth shut until I know what I’m talking about.” 😆
Sorry about the thread hijack AB, back on topic?
December 18, 2009 at 11:57 pm #165713I’ll have to check menace – I thought they were a 10.5 also and if it isn’t I’ll have to look at how much it is for the bigger tank.
I might be working the 28th moto but I’ll be heading out on the saturday and sunday I reckon.
I think the power difference is that with the 450 its always there whereas the 300 you seem to be able to keep it motoring off pipe and then squirt it and go!
December 18, 2009 at 11:58 pm #165714Nice ride Austblue :woohoo:
Mate, you should be out there today :woohoo: Whats wrong with you people :silly: :silly: Rained all day yesterday, perfect conditions today, go figure :blink:Will maybe riding SE Watagans Monday if Diddel is still keen

MurphNah, flatmates can be a lot worse than kids, she’s on the way out soon and all will be good.
Can someone explain the torque controller on AB’s TM please?
Do they fit BMW’s?December 19, 2009 at 12:48 am #165731
AnonymousDoubt it, they were developed by the guys at Cessnock TM. They change the ignition to alter the power produced by the bike. It has a dial with 12(?) settings that can be adjusted on the fly.
December 19, 2009 at 12:50 am #165727Family christmas party this weekend in wollongong. I thought it was today otherwise I would’ve been riding today for sure! You can imagine how bad I want to get out there especially since my last couple of rides have been canned in an effort to sort this out.
Beemer I don’t mind you hijacking, you’ve made me feel better about my shed. You see I live in a townhouse and barely have room for my bike and car so things get stored wherever they fit :p
December 19, 2009 at 1:00 am #165732Sorry wikd nah wont work on 4strokes.
The torque controller is actually a power valve damper that affects when the power valve can open. It works by applying resistance against the power valve control arm and you can adjust from 1-8 where 1 is like a stock bike and 8 has the power valve opening latest.
they also have a map switch which affects the ignition similar to the KTMs (and others I think?). I have a sneaking suspicion the demo was on the mild ignition map when I rode it and hence the power not being a massive shock.
I’m likely to do a ride from the pines saturday and or sunday after christmas and will be happy to give you blokes a ride and perve once I’ve had a good run :p
December 19, 2009 at 6:45 am #165734Very nice bike.
I went very close to buying one similar when I got the Berg. I too thought the demo seemed more sedate than I expected and had heard, but my KTM 300 was fairly flighty too.
Love the TM’s
Very sexy bike!!!!!! Good Luck!
