Very nice Trent! >drool emoticon here<

one thought i had as to picking numbers, the process i would use if i wanted to choose some for my bike.

    maybe your OBT member number.

your initials as represented in the alpha numeric ‘sms’ numbers e.g. mine ajf 254

the date you got your bike?

What’s the deal with numbers when racing though? For instance if I chose 888 and showed up to a race and TB was also racing would we fight for it? Do I need to pick a number that is in the class I expect to race?

You need to choose backgrounds with the class you race colours mate, then just use stick on numbers is the go. I have another set of back grounds and plastics yellow backgrounds and I just stick the numbers on for the race

(yellow is over 500cc four stroke)

Thanks. So I assume clubman E2 – couldn’t see where the background colour was listed.

I still don’t have my head around the different races and how they eacg work. Best i start a new thread I think.

It appears that we need to get a license, apply for the number afterwards and it has to be between 200 and 299 excluding nay that are taken.

If you don’t have an official number don’t they just issue one at whatever race anyway to stick over the top of the old one?

I’d imagine you’d have to make your own number plate though which would mean blank background in whatever colour (still unusure on that) and some electrical tape I suppose.

If racing at a club event they will generally write a number on some white contact. Generally fairly low key issue. If at a state round then the correct background will be required.

Set of 1-9 reg sized numbers from local whoever costs us around $10, background sheet of h/d contact in the correct colour from same place couple more $$, all done.

Used to do it every season for the kids, before that for me, only the “elite” get custom backgrounds with printed numbers and “extras”.

    that’s my approach anyway

Nice bike Trent – hope that this one doesn’t give you the grief that your other bike did.
