My new toy

After reading about Jeffro’s ride on his big v twin it got me thinking about another bike.Anyway I found a 1995 model HONDA nx650 on ebay and guess what I was the highest bidder @ $4500 with 12months rego the bike looks brand new I don’t think it has ever seen the dirt 21,000ks .I will be picking up the big girl on the weekend its all the way out @ cowra Iam very excited about my new toy.So my question is does anyone else on the oldbull forum have one of these big girls? Is there anything I need to lookout for?

Congrats on your purchase, they seem to be great bikes, I road TB’s for a Km or two the other week and it chugs along at 90-100Km very nicely

Well after a short drive from Cabramatta to Cowra with my dad in the car we arrived 3.5 hours later.The nx looks as new it still has the original tool kit and I love the gold rims.I had a quick spin up the road and was suprised how quiet she is compared to the xr400 and I love the magic button.Overal conditon of the bike is as new my dad reconds it is to good to take offroad so we loaded it on to the trailer and headed for home via yass and the hume hwy so thats why I did not call for a beer on the way home TB when I got home I cleaned the fueltap filter and the spark plug will check the airfilter tomorrow and clean up the chain the petrol tank is massive and the seat is wide Iam sure it won’t take me long to get use to the big DOMINATRIX i will try and post some pics soon

i didnt have the NX 650 but had the xr 650 L which i think has the same motor in it , they are bullet proof actually the bloke who bought it off me has it for sale again if anyones interested he has rode it about 3 times in the 3 yrs since he bought it off me as he works away alot.

Ah by the way that is excellent news about your NX – XRTRAILHACK. For the time that I have had TB’s NX I have done a few rides on it and they are very comfortable bikes to ride. They seem happy enough cruising along all day.
