Here is some photos of my PE 175 T 80 model as it is now I was going to do a full resto but have decided for now not to I have a stack of other parts put away for this bike and the sidecovers and front guard on the bike now are Gen Suzuki but you can no longer can buy the rear guards or headlight surround from Suzuki and DC Plastics are garbage & I will never put there stuff on any of my bikes.

The bike when I first got it not alot has changed except for handle bars are new some plastic new and brakes shoes are new, this bike will be for my better half to ride as the shocks are to soft for my 6f2 frame and I am not spending $500 on a good pair at the moment for it…

Here are some pictures of my PE 400 X I sold not long back I had blinkers and other rare parts for the bike that went with the sale but were not on in these photos the rear guard was a aftermarket one they had back in 1981 a lot of people did this because the standard ones would snap off a lot in races.

I liked this bike but once I saw what sort of tracks we had to ride on I thought I may aswell get a bike that can do all the tracks on the real tight tracks I could get around faster on my 175 than I could on the 400 they much prefure the wide open stuff than tree to tree stuff.

    Cheers Mick.

Love the PE!!! I wont ask what you sold it for, but is the effort to restore it, worth it when you sell it??? Just wondering how you go, selling a labour of love.

The main reason I sold it was because I did not restore this bike I pretty much brought it like that but added the special tool kit that is next to the light and the seat I got fixed I dont mind you asking about prices I brought the bike about 1 year ago for $2,800 and sold it 6 months later for $4,000 and now people would pay more than that for one in this good a nick it would be one of the best in Australia, like I said it had spares standard pipe, blinkers, the very rare chain guard never fitted and some other rare parts, speedo’s in good nick for PE’s will sell for $300.00 if you can find one in nice condition and if anyone has a NOS rear guard I think you would see it go for very big dollars.

    Cheers Mick.

Northcott Suzuki on Richmond road Blacktown?? I had a padded Tycon jersey with Northcott Suzuki on the back. A mate of mine did his appreticship there and they did all the hot up on my RD250LC.

I remember when I was 16 drooling over a PE250X there. Am I right in thinking that there was a PE with a battery box hanging off or near the back mudguard?

Not to many PE 250 X’s around if you find one in good nick expect to pay lots of dollars, not sure about the battery
