Good stuff TC, you wont miss that kickstarter.

Unless the battery goes flat

Has anyone with a DRZ ever had battery problems ?

I would love to buy a new Berg 390 or 450 but the lack of a kickstarter scares the shit out of me.

I can see why Berg’s didn’t bother with a kick start, when you loose voltage and your battery is nearly flat the fuel pump can struggle to run,my Husky needs 8 volts min to turn the pump, its difficult near impossible to kick start it.Just make up a small set of jumper leads and never ride with 2 strokes that don’t have batteries!

 You should have bought a Sherco Twobanger. It primes on one kick and fires on the next. I have riden all day with a flat battery. Bloody hard to kick all day though.

Sorry for the highjack Chad. Congrats on the new wheels. You’ll love it. As Corey said keep a trickle charger on it and she’ll be all good.

    hi Adam.
I would like to get out for a ride, but unable to register it due to lack of a reciept.
Hopefully I will have it registered before the holidays run out. It’s torture just having it just sitting there & not being able to ride it! :(
Also do you know any history of the bike?

No excuses accepted The Chad :P

It would be lucky if it had done more that 500km with Stuart. It needs a manual cam chain tensioner, and case savers. An oil change goes without saying as it would have been a couple of years since it’s last.

Get onto Thumpertalk and read the bike specific stuff on DRZ’s it will help ;)
