For the North Coast boys, meet at the Timbertown Log at 8am for a 8.30 ride away.

Just a note for everyone going, on behalf off those taking the lead from Wauchope, Tamworth, Mudgee and Windsor.

    * This is not a paid ride, there is no money changing hands, it just a few of us going for a ride and you have decided to follow. We are not responsible for you, your bike or your belongings. If you are not happy at any stage with any part of the ride, you are free to leave and not participate, remember you are joining us of your own free will. If you have a friend that’s a fancy talking lawyer, stay home with him and have fun together.

    * This is an adventure tour as such, don’t see the word race there do you? Also anything can and will happen, we are going much further than the carpark, please ensure you and your bike are prepared. Remember its not a race. If you are a hero racer or a hero of any sort stay home with old mate and his lawyer buddy. (besides We are the only ones that know the way )
There are many hidden obstacles, cars, 4w4’s, rocky sections, blind crests and curves, it may be dusty, it may be muddy so please ride within your limits, if you feel you are slow (not that you will be) you will be faster then a guy laying on ground waiting for help, don’t spoil it for yourself and everybody else.

    * If you ride in such a way as to endanger yourself or anyone else on the ride you will be told to leave, this includes passing people in a manner dangerous and such trail ethics, the lead riders decision is final if you dont like this or anything else here DONT COME.

Old Bulls must also state, that this is NOT an organised event or paid event and that no organisational function is undertaken or initiated by Old Bulls with respect to such rides. There are no set tracks/ routes and members ride at their own time and discretion. Old Bulls forum is a medium used for organizing rides by members and in attendance Old Bulls takes no responsibility or liability for injury or damage to persons or personal property that may occur.

Your attendance at the respective start points on this ride, will signify that you have read and accept this disclaimer.

    Hi TB,

It unlikely that I’m going to have my XR400 back in time for this ride. :( The suspension is done but we are waiting on some mounting bits for the 22l fuel tank. Even if I did get the bike back early this week I still need to work with Steve at AdventureMoto to sort out my panniers. So unfortunately I’m going to pull out of this one. :( Will target this next one on the calendar. :side:

    Hi Kev,
You are welcome to join us fellas from Wauchope. We are going a little out of the way to pick you up at Hallidays point though. If you feel like doing a few extra KMs you could meet us at Elands store at about 9.30-10am which would mean you would ride out through Taree and Wingham and up the Bulga road.(easy ride of about 80km)

I have PMed my phone number to you, so as we can discuss this option further.

    Cheers
    Mick

    Hi There Boonsta,

Gearing is still something I need to address. I’m currently running 14 / 44 however, will probably go 15 / 44 for the 3 states ride. What have you done to yours ?

    Cheers Gary

I just put the standard gearing on, 14/47,, I run 14/50 in the bush, I just google earthed out route for saturday and its windy dirt road for most the way, so 120kph wont be getting done to often, I have had the DRZto 160 using this standard gearing before.

160 on standard gearing, now that is insane and I would never subject my Dr. to that.. Talk about a screamer!!
