Gday bulls
Went in my first Race yesterday at Narrabri.120 bikes ripping around hills, gullies and rocks. The lap was 22.5 km long!!!HAD AN ABSOLUTE SHOCKER!!!:S..Manged to fly through the air at least ten times, unfortunately my bike headed in the opposite direction each time. could not believe the speed that some of these guys go.A grade blokes did eight laps, thats bloody 180km’s !!!It was a real eye opener, they actually have ramps going over the fences, nearlly lost it on one of them too but some how managed to hang on.A real mixture of terrain with steep rock infested climbs and decents, tight technical stuff through scrubby pines with ruts u could lose your dog in, to open country where you can pick up a bit of pace. After 2 laps i was stuffed…really stuffed…man i gotta work out that xr 400 and that awfull compression thingy ma jig..aint easy trying to kick start the red beast on the side of a mountain that would break a mountain goats leg or two.i had to chuck in the towel before i killed my self.Anyway,i had a bloody ball and met a heap of great fellas.Told em all about Old Bulls and told em to check out the website.
The property is 7500 acres of trails,if you want to check it out the web address is http://www.biketerritory.com.au
I didnt take a camera with me,which was lucky cause it would be in little pieces by now anyway, but i have attached a few photos from the website to give you some idea what the place is like.
I’m just happy i survived :woohoo:
