ShaneDecember 5, 2013 at 6:48 am #252277Hey TB,
It was me, at lest the photo at Jenolan was with the bike standing upright. So I supose this means from now on it will be camera in hand, ready to shoot. One consultation at least I made it Oberon under my own steam.December 5, 2013 at 7:33 am #252278I don’t know how TB finds some of these tracks we get to ride but i’m glad he does. An awesome ride again – shame my GPS didn’t want to play but a massive thanks to Factory for letting me be his wingman and getting us thru the ride for 2 days
Had great night at Woodstock – give that place a big tick and a big thanks to the blokes in orange vests – job well done.
One of the highlights was having to move over for GB (you could see him coming) in the single track and getting to watch him close up muscle a 1200gs thru the stuff a 250 would be better suited toAnyhow thanks to all for a most enjoyable weekend. Looking forward to more of these (with no tents)
Not a lot of action shots – the dust jammed my lens – and it’s hard to takes pics in a “white out” and there was plenty of them

December 8, 2013 at 11:32 am #252362Merlyn is still doing OK, 6 broken ribs that make funny sounds if he takes a big breath. Im staying away at the minute because I have the flu, as soon as this damned cough clears up Ill be down to see him again.
December 9, 2013 at 2:09 am #252196Ride report as promised………..
A quick scoot up to Lithgow from penrith on friday afterwork saw me with a beer in hand before 6pm :woohoo: sorted my room out and unloaded the bike ready for the morning.
It was great to catch up with a few Bulls I already knew and to meet some new riding buddies at the same was cool.
I had decided to help out with the newbies as my riding buddies from the last nav ride ( U know who U are  ) had pulled the pin a few weeks earlier.
So Boulder was to lead the group and I was going to swe…. not wear an orange vest behind the last newbie.
PTW and TB were busy loading GPS’s, everyone had a bite to eat and before we knew it the riders briefing was done, a few more quiet ones and we were off to bed.Boulder and I were ready to rock before 7 and we were just waiting for our group to assemble.
Once we had them all together we hit the road around 7.20.We were moving at a reasonable pace along the tar for a bit and then into the trails (which were of course awesome – thanks TB and co). there were a couple of minor nav errors that were quickly corrected and before long we happened upon Usi who had gotten separated from his group so he link up with us. Through the quarry was a little tricky as there were tracks everywhere and the fog wasn’t helping, but we all made it out alive
From there we headed to Jenolan caves were we had a quick stop for a drink and a chat before heading off to the lunch/fuel stop at Burraga.
The tracks that we rode between the Jenolan caves and Burraga were top notch you couldn’t ask for better IMO and I will be trying to get a copy of the route to re do those another time thanks again track setting crew
Now, I have a property not too far from Burraga and ride there a few times a year for some lunch and fuel. In my experience there are two different ladies that seem to work there alternate saturdays, one is extremely nice and cant do enough for you, the other……… not so much
Unfortunately it was Miss not so much’s turn but given the amount of business they were getting for the day she was on her best behavior  while we were there.
From there we were making our way to Woodstock, our group was getting along well, Boulder and I were swapping the lead duties so all was good until we arrived at a small uphill section before the drop off we had been warned about.
Half way up the hill Usi’s clutch decided it had had enough and didnt want to play anymore.
So that put a halt to things until we could speak to the other guys riding at the back who did have orange vests on :whistle:From there we had an easy cruise into Woodstock and with a few beers had a great night.
Sunday’s ride back to Oberon was under way early and was un eventful ……… except for missing the last 20 km’s chasing down part of the group that had missed a turn
We rode some nice tracks again on Sunday and we got to Oberon ok.
Great weekend away on the bikes, top tracks, Top blokes cant wait to do it all again in the new year :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

December 9, 2013 at 5:15 am #252197A belated thanks to TB and the crew for what was truly a sensational well organised event. As a newbie to the group, having only recently signed up with my son (BOB96), the welcome and support received was fantastic. The newly purchased KTM ran well, even after a great hill climb and wash in the river :woohoo: ! We are definitely looking forward to joining such a great group for many more rides to come.
cheers
